At the time of the aiming change I didn’t play war thunder. I came back to grind the Shisaka. It pains me greatly to see what has become of my favorite mode.
There once was a time when you had to know how to aim. That time has passed. It doesn’t matter if you used to be able to hit turning enemies. It doesn’t matter if you used to be able to take speed and bearing into account in order to hit that sweet first shot ammo rack. It doesn’t even matter if you used to be able to perfectly trap PT boats in a hail of secondary fire to protect yourself. In fact it doesn’t even matter if you were able to dodge all thst secondary fire as the PT boat.
It just doesn’t matter.
So what matters now? Point and click. That’s what matters. Gone are the days of understanding how shells fly. No longer must you understand the differences in time gained vs time lost on shells shot at extreme range. You point and you click. You don’t need to learn any of these concepts now if you struggled before. You point and click.
The skills I and many others had acquired over the course of Naval AB’s lifespan so far are now useless. I once took pride in my ability to compete against other players on the high seas. But no more. My very particular set of skills has been stripped from me. And now that the game seems to have turned against me; I see no reason to grind the Yamato for my very own. Because I’m not the one sinking ships; the aimbot is doing it for me.
I just don’t want to play WT Mobile on my playstation. There used to be a distinction there.
I think that this statement is absolutely delusional.
Here, AGAIN, we’re confronted with Kweedko’s fanatic refusal to accept that:
Absolutely Lobotomizing the CORE mechanic of Naval Arcade is the central, and pretty much ONLY, issue.
Aiming IS the game. Aiming IS War Thunder. The Aim Game is central to EVERY Aspect of War Thunder. Without a compelling Aim mechanic, there is NO GAME. EVERY Game mode in War Thunder is about Aiming. Aiming is the defining mechanic in War Thunder. The One Unifying identity of this Game.
You remove agency in Aiming and… you don’t have a game anymore.
Which is where we’re at. It is the central concern, gripe, and desire of everyone here.
The Post-Hornet Update Lobotomized Naval Arcade. Turing it into a Idle Clicker. Making the mode more welcoming to botters than actual flesh and blood players.
There is no compelling gameplay left here.
Reverse the Hornet Update Aim Changes to Naval Arcade.
So you suggesting to change aiming at top tier tanks like that guy said? For sure it’s way accurate than in real life where gears in turrets mechanisms and inertia exist.
What subject? That this costal lover can’t handle new aiming? We already knew that 4 month ago. Mate just ignored 90% of naval. Even his so adored costals played with same number of “players” and “games played”, according to statshak, as before changes, despite that he stated that everyone will leave it cause of new aiming.
Lol. Your ONLY value is keeping this thread at the top of the Arcade forums, amplifying our voice. Outside of that, your are dismissive, gaslighty, and purposely obtuse. In true Cringe fashion, You’re happy to provide your own words and posts as proof to your arguements…which is to say…NO PROOF of anything at all. That’s when you’re not trying to derail this thread entirely.
It’s hilarious, and tiresome, simultaneously.
The demand for a SKILLFUL Aim Mechanic is consistent. The proof is in the longevity of this thread, the influx of new players echoing a similar desire for something more engaging, and the screenshots of players, IN GAME, asking for it.
Having played a few matches yesterday, and polling in game players… Naval Arcade blows and… I guess you have YOU to thank for that.
