I test drive and it seems fine
I have the same issue with the same ships. Having to lead shells with a lot of difficulty in arcade mode to get a hit. I have switched to realistic using the same ships and find its a lot easier and actually more enjoyable gameplay. Only drawback is getting the head space back into realistic mode and the lack of real players, mostly bots unfortunatley.
Not sure if its a bug or an update, would be nice to know if anyone knows.
Anyway, happy gaming.
experiencing the same problem with pr206 and mpk-33
Akebono is also affected, although the 40mm does seem to track better but is still wonky.
NoDak is so trash it makes the Omahas seem usable
Btw. all guns that were changed for “escalation” when controlled by AI, also not aiming and shooting at naval targets both in RB and AB. So it’s all is the same cause.

- AI missile interception:
I am currently doing fine with it but I heard it apparently better then the USS texas?
Looking at the armor profile of Texas, it’s similar to Wyoming which already makes it better than NoDak.
Trade off is a 40 second reload aced with 35.6cm guns.
The problem with North Dakota will be it limited range and guns barely doing any damage comparing to other ships. It armour is good enough for it BR.
Armor so good an HMS York can somehow turn the magazine yellow at 11 to 13km (no, I don’t know how this is possible. Wish I took a screenshot of it)
I am also encountering this issue with Bismarck.
it upper deck has like 30mm of armour so if you manage to get your shell rain from the top then you can ammorack it. Overall is a decent ship. Sometimes you can do really good in it sometimes not.
i found that issue on Spokoinyy,it’s too terrible to aim
I was talking about North Dakota, the 6.3.
Not the SoDak at 8.3.
O_Warrior0 post misguided me
Yeah, I think autocorrect got him
Or he confused the name. Either or.
Back onto the current topic; shells from ships in general, not just low caliber (low caliber example: 12.7cm or below) seem to randomly fire off somewhere in the next area code and I think it may be due to immediately firing on a locked target before the gunner AI ‘updates’ to the new target, based on server ping.
Been a bit of an issue for a while now and I don’t know if Heavy Cavalry update is the origin or I just noticed it more.
So now, almost all “big coastal” ships are unplayable.
I was playing the LÉ Orla the other day and I noticed this too. Very annoying. Made it so difficult to play!
On one hand this adds a little bit more durability for small PT boats.
On the other hand, gunboats, fregates and corvette are now unable to aim the turrets of enemy DDs so they just die in a few seconds.
