I just registered 18 losses in a row against 12.7 Russia in GRB, over 3 days straight. The only wins I got were when I actually played along with Russia.
It’s a combination of BMPT/72s / russian unpenetrable MBTs rushing your spawns + Su-30MK2 AMV and LMURs spams. Always the same pattern.
Playing 12.7 as a NATO force against Russia is not even fun or challenging anymore, you just get rushed at your spawn in less than 3 minutes, die, and loose 9 out of 10 12.7 games. It is NOT enjoyable.

This game is so freaking biased towards Russia, it’s not even enjoyable anymore.
Honestly, take a break from 12.7. Pop down to 8.7 to 9.3 for some spectacularly good matches where you can legitimately influence the outcome. I’ve been having so much fun spading a bunch of vehicles in that BR range that I kind of rushed through to get to the high tier stuff. Japan is quite fun and I’ve gotten 4 Israeli nukes at 8.7 in the past week.

I’m forced to do this, but I don’t like the idea of Russia dominating the most modern battles ingame without competitive NATO counterparts.

The game is not fun if you don’t play Russia. You just suffer.
Getting to top tier Russia would take another +1000 hours, or 90 euros worth of premiums.
In another words, I can’t have fun on this game anymore. After 1300 hours, I’m simply thinking about uninstalling and moving on.
Speaking from ground forces alone, I have unlocked the Chinese, Russian, Swedish, Italian, and Japanese tech trees. The Russian tech tree is undeniably strong—there’s no disputing that—but honestly, I find it boring.
In China, we often joke that playing the Russian/Soviet tech tree means you can just press W to win.

The thing is, Gaijin isn’t even hiding its preference for the USSR anymore. With every new patch, Gaijin keeps giving the USSR more and more OP stuff, while other nations get nothing even close in terms of capabilities.
What will happen when everyone switches to the USSR? We’ll have end credits and the caption “Victory of Socialism over Imperialism.”
