We all understand that the Namer’s are incredibly under armored, but this is entirely a separate issue. On the main side armor’s profile which is 50mm thick, you can see that there are giant holes left in the armor with nothing covering it on each side. I thought maybe it has external armor modules protecting it that you can’t really see so I tested it with 30mm AP from the Pantsir. If shot at a slight angle It will penetrate the “vent” piece on the side going through the gaps in the side armor then penetrates the armored wall/firewall behind the engine injuring the crew. When realistically it isn’t like that at all the image shown of the engine bay of the Namer don’t have anything like that.
