Yeah would be great for the infantry mode if they add the ability to carry infantry about the map. That opens up the possibility for a lot of other helicopters too like more Blackhawks or some more armed utility helicopters like the ACH-47.

A short but interesting read going through the cockpit layout and MFD displays. Also does include from planned improvements which mention a HMS/HMD system and integrated weapons controls for the nose turret gun.

Apparently there were also plans for GBU-44/B Viper Strike bombs but those plans look to have been abandoned.
I would not mind it in game but the lack of quantity in weapons is concerning. IRL the Osprey is a bit of a mess so arming it might not be on the top of the pentagons list.
Yeah full armaments isn’t planned outside of the door gunner weapon and the IDWS turret which have been used in combat but the Hydra/APKWS rockets and Griffin missiles being live fired is/should be enough for Gaijin if they ever add the thing.

It would be a really funky addition to the Hali tree for the USA. It would work most people who will play it would be for the desert storm vibe but Osprey is very large and a big target.
True, although it does have a full CM suite with Chaff and Flare dispensers, MAWS, DIRCM so it can have some defence against SPAA. It also gets the Intrepid Tiger II ECM system so if/when we do see EW in-game it could make use of that.
Normally Intrepid Tiger is an external pod the USMC uses on their AV-8B+, F/A-18A+/C/D, KC-130J, and UH-1Y but they integrated the system internally for the MV-22 since it lacks wing hardpoints necessary for it.

To be fair, we’ve got entire vehicles that didn’t even see production in the game so there really is no reason the tested Osprey weapons shouldn’t be added.

Naw cus then they would have to do it with every helicopter. Osprey has a bad reputation but just about every helicopter suffered from mechanical failures.
Came across a video of a live fire test of the APKWS rockets from the MV-22B.
Your gearbox though could be modelled to suck at taking any battle damage. Gearbox turns minion yellow and it’s a down hill from there.

Apparently Osprey is going to be the helicopter for the Trump Class Battleship (got atomic reactor now).
