I recently got the 80UM2 and even at 11.7 the no thermals aint a big deal.

Still spading it right enough so not doing as good as i want.
I use all trees, thw T80UD was a 10.7 tank before it got buffed.
I played the vast majority of my 80UD games at 10.7 with the 80B, nothing for me has changed at all, hell i take it to 11.7
My friend, i play it exclusively at 10.7 and 11.7, the tank is solid.
Its literally a T90A light, better armour, same mobility, worse round but better reload.

With 105 mm shell peoples playing this tank with 4/1 kd.
No T-90A have better armor. And imagine they have only 0.3 br difrence but T90 A have thermal, top tier shell, and better armor only weakness reload speed.
UD has 6s reload, and that’s one second quicker bro. That’s a good enough trade off for the lack of thermals, but for my play style I’ll pick thermals over the quicker reload.
I already know it reloads in 6 seconds, so many people will choose the T-90A now anyway. The T-80UD no longer has any advantage.

If there’s no pay-to-win system in this game, how will Gaijin survive? Gaijin’s system is worse than normal pay-to-win games, but the main reason the T-80UD got nerfed is to increase sales of the BMPT-72 and T-72 Arena. If you didn’t like pay-to-win, you shouldn’t have bought the T-80UD then.

The T80UD has a smaller profile, more effective ERA placement of ERA as well as shape of the panels especially on it’s flanks.

T80UD reloads faster, they have the same exact optics bar T90 has thermals.

No the main and only reason for it’s BR to be changed was due to it’s performance, they literally have stated as @MotorolaCRO can tell you, that vehicles BRs are based on their performance in matches E.G how much earnings they have.

The T-80UD is a perfect sidegrade to the Bishma, which fits perfectly at 10.7. The Bishma has slightly better turret armor (minimal difference though) and Gen2 gunner thermals while the T-80UD has a faster reload.

Keep the current pay to progress formula, sell skins, sell premium vehicles that are just reskins of TT ones but offer economical benefits.
Theres no need to have any pay to win aspects for WT to sruvive.
In fact id argue that no pay to win aspects make people invest into the game more lol so continuing with expanding on the pay to win aspect of the game will only damage them in a long run.
T-72 Arena is event tank and its free for anyone who grinded the event.
BMPT-72 released at 10.3, and fills out entirely different niche to T-80UD. It was clearly meant to complement T-80UD in the lineup. Also they are monetized differently, T-80UD was GE premium from the start, whereas BMPT-72 is pack premium.
Slight difference as usually old pack premiums are replaced by new ones, which didnt happen here.

9.3 Leopard 1A5 which has TVD. T-80UD doesn’t and now it’s at 10.7 against Leopard 2A4 with 2nd Gen thermals.
ERA rarely stops APFSDS, pretty sure ur APFSDS doesn’t get absolutely absorbed by K-5 that often.

it’s ERA, it’s literally made to stop HEAT, and ATGMs are just propelled HEAT rounds. skill issue if u don’t aim for the weakspots or destroy it’s cannon to nulify it’s possibility of counterattacking.
now T-80UD is 10.7, which imo is pretty unfair since it’s literally just a 10.3 T-72 with better reload and mobility AND without thermals which basically all 10.7 tanks have, and i always say: if u only complain about a single vehicle at a specific BR when there’s many other similar vehicles at the same BR, then u rather have a skill issue or a problem against the players of that nation in particular.
T-72B (1989) has the same ERA, same top speed/reverse speed, slightly worse engine, slightly worse reload…all that at the same 10.3 BR as the old T-80UD (and plus it has better armor since T-72s were made to have armor while T-80s were made to have mobility, that’s why they’re very agile), and if u only complain about the 80UD then i don’t understand what the T-72B (1989) lacks that u don’t complain about it.
Tier 1 Thermals are, bad. Really bad. As in nigh unuseably bad. Their resolution is so horrendous especially at range.
