True but overall gameplay experience is basically the same, always aim on weakspots in order to consistently get best results.
ZTZ’s and VT4’s biggest drawback is the armor profile, Gaijin still hasn’t fixed them yet and didn’t add spall liners to ZTZ99A series.
Apart from that I prefer ZTZ99A over BVM despite having worse reload because it has much better turret armor,LWS and reverse speed.
Type-10’s has trolly armor that can save you from time to time while having much better penetration,optics and thermals. (It should also have much better gun handling and armor but Gaijin still hasn’t fixed them yet)
Its basically Type-90 on steroids which makes it much more fun.

Yesm, but it hardly can be called significant as all the weak zones are the same, counting in that ammuniton it meets also got better.
Not every, but some has changed. For example, the 2a7 got its weakest spot - the hull front - upgraded so 3BM60 cant do anymore. Then the Leopard LFP shootng with 90M is less effective… Challengers too got some buff to armor, so the hull isnt penetrated to UFP levaing only LFP. And by far the most important is the spacing of the NATO MBTs that helps them survive multiple shots done… Then even when they get penned, usually they suffer less damage because of spacing and fact that some composite armor had decreased the penetration power of thy ammo. T series`s weakspots are often armored only with steel plates without any composite armor.
Ah but them Challengers also have it cover the weakspots in frontal. Even mask.
Yes but challengers side armor doesn’t protected by spall liner and also has smaller coverage compare to those tanks.
Still love how the only mbts in game with all round spall liner are the t90m and the leopards as if other countries only thought to put them behind the most heavily armoured section of their tanks lol. I think there is a bug report out since they were added on the challenger missing its lfp spall liner still.
Are you trying be mad peoples ? Your comment wrong, their reload time same, T80ud advantage better armor, t80b advantage have thermal, better reverse speed and can go silently. T80ud should be 10.3 again.
Judging by your whopping 3 games in it with 33% winrate and 4 kills to 5 deaths, how can you even know where it should be placed BR wise?

Yeah hes telling that to me, when I used to run it at 10.7 when it was 10.3, and have done exceptionally well with it compared to the other 10.3 russian vehicles.

read what I said, the T80UD was a 10.7 tank before the reload buff came through, when the T80B had a 7.1 second reload and the T80UD had the 6.5.
Gen 1 thermals, with substantially worse optics isn’t exactly a mega upgrade, I do far better with the UD at long ranges than the 80B.
T80B is not silent, at all.
No, it shouldn’t. It’s got an 11.7 tanks armour (slightly different) at 10.7 , same reload and mobility equivelant to the T90A at 11.0.

I’m more over Thermal guy but despite that I prefer T-80U’s sight over T-80B’s thermal anyday.
Did the same thing with event UM, put a talisman on it and grinded entire Russian high tier with talismaned UK/U.
Zero regrets.
The magnification on the UD VS the B is just too much of a difference the 80B has nice optics for the BR but the UD is packing 11.7 optics xD they’ve got great sniping capabilities.
Can’t argue with that man!

I get it with coupon only 1 day, so i could play it only 1 day. It deserve 10.7 br in arcade but in realistic no thermal big weakness.
I mean if you want to be disingenuous and ignore all the advantages in shell, reload and armor T-80UD has.
Nonetheless, get better argument.
T-80UD just now went up to 10.7 and its more likely than not its not moving down anytime soon, especially with such weak arguments like yours.

It deserves 10.7 or even 11.0 in RB, sure it doesn’t have thermals but I could fight that thing in a XM-1, and say what you want it’s practically a wall. I played at 10.3 (test drive) and went positive every game. In fact it was barely fun, all down tiers nothing can pen (not even things like 2A4’s when in up tiers) and you just drive forward like a wall. I’d say it’s actually about as balanced as they can make it, I don’t want the tank to be bad, but I want it to be at least semi fair.

Based on my time with T-80UD at 10.3 I can say that its a 10.7 tank, simple as that.

If had 11 kmh reverse speed 10.7 br was okey, but no reverse speed, no thermal tank cant be uptier to 11.7 tanks.
