Move the MIG-23ML to 11.0

I’m not too knowledgeable regarding the exported MiG-23s, but I know for certain that both of the ML series in the soviet tree are capable of firing R-24s.

Because you are bad at the game so you want it at a lower BR so you can actually play good, and the only reason you could come up with is it would sell more, you don’t even care about how many they sell you just want it to go down. This thing already has no right being the same br as the F-104S.ASA but you want it to be 11.0 with the F-104S without an MTI radar crap SARH and 20 rear aspect missiles. no to mention the thing cant turn and the MiG-23ML is just as fast in much better missile better radar and can turn

Yeah, just checked.

The MLA implements the RP-23MLA, which as far as I see, was the first implementation of the R-24. I’d imagine there’s some causation between the radar change and introduction of R-24s, as well as the modernization of base model MLs to fit the MLA radar.

It’s already 11.0 in sim, and the MLA 11.3, weird …

Nope, It’s flight performance is very good at 11.3, it comes with R-60s which aren’t amazing, but they can work on blind opponents, R-24s which are still some of the best missiles in the game to date, radar works just fine for what the plane wants to do as well.

It’s not worse than an F-4J, Tornado F.3, or JA37D, definitely not worse than a Mirage F-1, so moving it down to 11.0 seems silly.

In terms of the differences in terms of the game the early variants of the Mig-23 being the M and MF are quite different from the later variants being the Mig-23ML, MLA, and especially the MLD. The main areas where the later variant improve in are the radar, flight performance, and weaponry.

If you want a detailed explanation about them I recommend this video

I mostly just interested in the ML vs MLA as the ML has a SB rating of 11.0 and the MLA has a rating of 11.3. Despite the fact that as far as I could tell, they should be at the same BR. Just some unsettling dev bias there

More likely than not there’s probably some goofiness regarding balancing through statistics.
The ML is a premium which makes it more likely to do poorly especially in sim where many people are either new to the MiG-23, the game, or often times both of them.

I laugh occasionally thinking if the mig23m should be 10.7 or 11.0 because that’s more arguable than a actual mig 23 with full on flares and chaff and also r24r that’s absurd

while i’d like to agree, we all know its a bit of both

Actually the funniest thread on the forum, forum posters more dense than DU and don’t see the obvious joke. Godspeed Vamilad.

pd radar missiles at 11.0 ahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaah
funny

man… pd radar missiles at 11.0 are so unfair i might think ur drunk or 11 years old
u have no logic… plz next time buy a brain not a premium plane

@Axxaxxux
You want the Mig-23ML at 11.0 and you’re the one insulting me.

This is a massive necro post.

When this thread was created was before the decompression. The Mig-23ML was 11.3 alongside aircraft like the Phantoms and Tornado ADVs.

As a result, its no longer relevant and the thread should really be closed
