I assure you , I played 20 games in the J35XS and non were 9.3. The fact that we just got a sale and J-7D/21Bis dominated the MM does not give the 35XS it down tier.

Exactly, they confuse “I’m always getting uptiers” with “that jet is always getting downtiers”
I played 10.3 prior to sales and got almost nothing BUT downtiers. Like anything regarding matchmaking, it ebbs and flows.

I have 92 battles and 129 elims with that thing (79 deaths). I think I know how well that jet works a bit more than obvious parroting from YouTubers and Old Wiki. It sucked, it couldn’t keep its energy to speed for shite, and the only thing that makes it “good” is being a missile boat with laughable missiles. At least the J-7D has good missiles and a lot of countermeasures. The only reason why the Saab should go up is because Gaijin hates Sweden.

Yeah as of now it just full up tier or at least 11.0 is guarantee. And I feel like it gonna be so for a while , sale and all that. I spam a good bit of the 35XS and I would say it is strong for 10.3 but as of now the MM is saving it BR placement. I don’t think moving it up 10.7 would be a great idea considering it CM count but that just me , could use some decompression. And it sitting with F5C/J-7D just doesn’t make sense. Maybe after sale a bit MM will stabilize and it will get it down tier

I have played the J35A, which has its main FM difference being the weaker engine…so I can extrapolate the performance difference. I have also played the mirage 5BA as I just said earlier, which is basically the same niche but with 2 missiles instead of 6 with the tradeoff of having more countermeasures…and I’m good enough at the game to make these assessments…

Clearly you and I will not agree. I believe it is absolutely dreadful with terrible energy retention, dreadful acceleration, and no countermeasures. You like it because you do. I still think it’s better off at 10.3

Should I be the one that jokingly says skill issue, or should I let the guy who never touched it tell you that it’s actually the best 10.3 jet and it needs to be 18.0 yesterday, and you’re just trash?
Before you get mad, I know it’s trash. I had it, it sucked. It sucked less when you could destroy bases, now you can’t do that anymore.

I’ve seen them nearly every game at 9.7, and guess what I can do with my Q5? Nothing.
I’ve had 10 games on this thing, I got 15 kills, and that’s well, quite easy.
KD on war thunder is not a good measure of anything.
I seen the worst player id ever witnessed yesterday with a 5.0+ KD in a J35. End of game 0 player kills. 6 AI planes.
You say fly 5km? Thats where the f4s and F8Es roam. I know this as j35s are my favorite plane to bully outside of T2s and F104s…

Deffinitly no where near 10.7 worthy. I actually hate everything about this jet. And i usually fly GBs over tiered horror shows🤣
Which I had no problem doing even with F100 at 10.3 (teammates uptier’d me) without chaff. No rwr is a bit harsh, but afterall their radar all sucks. I mean how many people cried about J7E when all it did was the exact same thing as J35, when people actually notice it, it is utterly useless.
I mean I have seen actual 6.0 k/d. I get it it’s a premium and most people just tend to have skill issue but this jet is definitely not 10.3 material. Otherwise half the 10.7s should be down here as well.

Just another point, if u do indeed get away at sort of good alt aka above 3km, u can absolutely destroy everyone, but u just need to get there.

Most people on the forum either never play a vehicle or have 0.4 kd in it, that’s like half the forum’s fun – the drama.
Theoretically it’s not a bad plane at 10.3 due to a myriad of good factors and it can’t go any lower for sure, but 10.3 is a hellzone because of j7d/f5c/f5e and just the myriad of prems people want to play to grind in the 10.7-11.0 area, 10.0 is dead and 9.7 doesn’t have many prems either so it lowers the downtier pool.

The j7E is one of my favourite jets. A real brawler, energy for days. I won a 3 vs 1 in it (rare for me) . The low fuel turning is God tier.
This J35 tho has no good traits except 1 turn, might just be me, skill issue and all that. But I can only think of one jet I hate more- the 9.7 jaguar. I slap J35 with meme missiles (9c) all the time- cant see any point in climbing. Often see them going like 100mph - I now realise why. Its one of the few jets I cant think of a playstyle that is consistent/ fun
Its a sticky one as IMO its nowhere near a f5, mig 21, j7d, F8E etc etc yet costs real money. With the very few downtiers it gets 10.3 is where it should be.
Or it should be given a fair amount of counter measures if its getting yoinked bk to 10.7 IMO
