6 AIM 9Js are not the pinnacle of a great aircraft. I would understand if it were actually good missiles like Magic 1s or PL 5s, but AIM 9Js? I swear you only disagree with me just to be a contrarian. The J35XS is the worst jet I had the displeasure of using, and the only reason I’m glad I played Sweden is so I never have to touch that thing again.

The only thing the Saab is good at is taking out Strike Aircrafts because I’ve defeated plenty of Su-17s and 22s last year. The rocket nerfs destroyed the only thing it was good at: destroying bases.

6 9J is incredibly strong for 10.3. You often face flareless jets in downtiers who are not dodging this missile.

I used the Mirage 5BA at the same BR, 10.3, recently, and the Mirage 5BA shares all the same issues of the J35 regarding its FM (low energy retention when turning, takes a long time to gain speed again) AND it only has TWO 9Js instead of the SIX the J35 has, and yet I still did REALLY well with it.

You got that wrong. At 9.3 all you are facing is 10.3s, not the other way around.

I assure you , I played 20 games in the J35XS and non were 9.3. The fact that we just got a sale and J-7D/21Bis dominated the MM does not give the 35XS it down tier.

I played 10.3 prior to sales and got almost nothing BUT downtiers. Like anything regarding matchmaking, it ebbs and flows.

I have 92 battles and 129 elims with that thing (79 deaths). I think I know how well that jet works a bit more than obvious parroting from YouTubers and Old Wiki. It sucked, it couldn’t keep its energy to speed for shite, and the only thing that makes it “good” is being a missile boat with laughable missiles. At least the J-7D has good missiles and a lot of countermeasures. The only reason why the Saab should go up is because Gaijin hates Sweden.

Yeah as of now it just full up tier or at least 11.0 is guarantee. And I feel like it gonna be so for a while , sale and all that. I spam a good bit of the 35XS and I would say it is strong for 10.3 but as of now the MM is saving it BR placement. I don’t think moving it up 10.7 would be a great idea considering it CM count but that just me , could use some decompression. And it sitting with F5C/J-7D just doesn’t make sense. Maybe after sale a bit MM will stabilize and it will get it down tier

I have played the J35A, which has its main FM difference being the weaker engine…so I can extrapolate the performance difference. I have also played the mirage 5BA as I just said earlier, which is basically the same niche but with 2 missiles instead of 6 with the tradeoff of having more countermeasures…and I’m good enough at the game to make these assessments…

Flying airbrake that loses all speed in one turn. Then takes the rest of game to get it back.

6 missiles that only hit players that are not looking- most of people using J35 have high KDs but are from killing AI planes.

No RWR so cant fly high

Its a ground huggjng rat plane!. Iv got plenty of these at 13.7 - not how i want to play the game at 10.3

Also it gets very few downtiers. In 25+ ganes i had 1.

Should I be the one that jokingly says skill issue, or should I let the guy who never touched it tell you that it’s actually the best 10.3 jet and it needs to be 18.0 yesterday, and you’re just trash?

Before you get mad, I know it’s trash. I had it, it sucked. It sucked less when you could destroy bases, now you can’t do that anymore.

Well u still have the 10.7 with 18. That thing is also a MiG19.

Just the same with every delta wing? Try not doing that and keep ur speed up. This isn’t a dogfight jet.

Not like enough of the planes have doable radar missiles anyway. Just don’t go above 5.7k alt.

I’ve seen them nearly every game at 9.7, and guess what I can do with my Q5? Nothing.

I’ve had 10 games on this thing, I got 15 kills, and that’s well, quite easy.

KD on war thunder is not a good measure of anything.

I seen the worst player id ever witnessed yesterday with a 5.0+ KD in a J35. End of game 0 player kills. 6 AI planes.

You say fly 5km? Thats where the f4s and F8Es roam. I know this as j35s are my favorite plane to bully outside of T2s and F104s…

It has one trick. Like many others. Rat on sidelines firing AA 3rd party style.

With the worst gun on game to top it off.

Deffinitly no where near 10.7 worthy. I actually hate everything about this jet. And i usually fly GBs over tiered horror shows🤣
