i can tell you : you don’t want this to happen : german’s are forced to do it with thier F-4F KWS, and it’s playbale thank to the godly modeled AIM-120.
F-4EJ Kai, with AAM-3 would not gain much more capabilities, and will be destroyed from afar.
F-4EJ Kai can and will be quite fine in higher br’s. although it won’t win turnfights it’s still capable of doing well in medium range engagements. only air to air missiles it’s missing are AAM-3, AIM-7M’s and AAM-4 and AAM-5’s.
AAM-4 was tested without launching as I know but where from is AAM-5?

Are as good than AIM-7F’s, In game wise.
There is photos about that loadout, but apart bumping the aircraft up in BR, and without HMD, the AAM-3 is still very limited due to the F-4EJ Kai turn capabilties.
Even the current early F-15J having them have trouble using them in dogfight,… for the exact same reason.
Play it today, go get yourself against the current 13.3(12.3+1.0),… you’ll have some trouble against AV-8B AIM-120A.
But AV-8B can be beaten close range,…
If the F-4EJ Kai recieves AAM-3 → 12.7 BR, also means constant uptier against much more capable aicrafts (Mirage 2000-5F, F-15C,… and other Fox-3 slingers)
The aircraft then will have no chance.
Honestly would make for better stock grind. Currently ahistorical AIM-7E are roadblocking the 7Fs
Having 7F → 7M instead (while arguably redundant) would allow for getting superior missiles earlier.
And those air to air missiles would make it 13.0.
AAM-5s would make it 14.x.
And AAM-4s can’t be used.
AAM-5s weren’t used on any EJ Kai as far as I’m aware, so they are not an issue.
AAM-4 have been tested using ADTW F-4EJ Kai aircraft.

I play the EJ Kai almost daily, against current 13.3 it’s actually performing smoothly, idk maybe its just a skill issue on your side
and i played against 13.7 before (did a funny) had literally 0 issues it was just another day another air rb match
also laughs in pulling 16G’s in the ej kai

But it is only seeker pod which simulated AAM-5 seeker but it is not the AAM-5 missile.
The problem is that there is no photo to approve it. Also it is not known was F-4 capable to launch them or it was only telemetric tests

We’ve seen plenty of heated debates regarding whether the F-4EJ Kai should finally receive the AAM-3. With the latest BR changes, staying competitive in the EJ Kai has become an uphill battle.
Facing off against the likes of the F/A-18A, F-15A/J, and MiG-29, the EJ Kai is simply outmatched by their maneuverability and superior weaponry. And let’s be honest—even if you try to run, they’ll catch you in a heartbeat! HAHAHA XD
Don’t you think it’s finally time we let him carry the AAM-3? I, for one, am dying to see him fully equipped with them. Adding the underwing drop tanks would also open up so many more tactical possibilities on these large maps.

it’s AAM-3 or BR placement at this point.
even more since F/A-18A is 12.3 too

BR placement without AAM-3 means 12.0.

Appearantly F4EJ KAI will become so much better than F-15J that it has to go to 13.0 with AAM-3 according to him.
