Pretty ridiculous that they use a su-30mk as an adversary in that promo piece… thing didn’t even have an esa radar, at least use a mki derivative for the adversary. Also im pretty sure esa radars in game currently track targets even faster than what’s shown on there which is pretty dumb
when will gaijin give us our dubstep radars modelled properly not the one we have now

If it’s just better than the 16C in most ways shouldn’t it be 14.0
F-16C is faster, accelerates better, and has HMD. Which greatly amplify its performance.
Plus all 14.0 aircraft have HMD, and are (typically) much faster than the F-2A.
How much faster? You said yourself the F-2 has much better radar and FM, that should make up for no HMD compared to 16C already. Then you have to factor in 2 extra missiles

better IR than 9M. 4 good IR and 4 ARH isnt a very bad loadout
The F-2A can only carry x2 Fox 2 and x2 Fox 3.
the F-16C can x6 Fox 2 or 3, or mix and match like 2 and 4.
Plus the combo of HMD and Fox-3 is super good, and not having an HMD is a massive detriment to the F-2, and in my opinion, the only thing keeping it from 14.0.

No, The F-16C is fine where it is as it is.
The F-16C can carry 2 more Fox 3s than the F-2
The AIM-9M and AAM-3 are really similar, I haven’t made an AAM-3 shot that I couldn’t make with the AIM-9M. Plus since the F-16C has HMD, it can use its missiles to a much better extent.
Also, FM barely comes into play for real matches, That’s why so many people play the Su-30SM or the F-15E.

the F-2 carries 2 more IR for more total kill opportunities. FM still helps overall, and people play the Su-30SM for its very high missile count (like how F-2 has more missiles), except in the F-2 case it has both FM and missile count. the J/APG-2 radar is much better than the APG-68V7 as well. better FM and more missiles overall make up for no HMD compared to the 16C but better radar puts it above. So they could just add PIDS pylons it should be getting regardless and APG-83 radar to make it more even
No it doesn’t, The F-16C has to expend alot less energy swapping between offense and defense thanks to the HMD, while the F-2A has to get the nose on target in order to get a lock.
In a real match, the F-16C is in some ways better than the F-2A, mainly due to the HMD, but the F-2A is different in other ways, such as higher missile count.
The F-2A is balanced at 13.7, It’s slower than most other planes, but it has a good radar, good missiles, and a good FM, making it really good at close range, while most other planes beat it out in BVR due to their speed advantage or aforementioned HMD.

it isnt that much slower than the 16C. if everything else was the same but 16C got APG-83 to have equal radar then it would be balanced. F-16C has ok radar, good but less missiles, and a usable FM. more ARH for less total is a fair tradeoff, FM for HMD and a little speed is a fair tradeoff with vertical ACM, but there isnt really a tradeoff for the radar
