I feel like the main issue would be the FM and Radar, since the AAM-3 is pretty close to the 9M, and the 16C also uses the 7M.
But the F-2 would beat the Viper out in range with the radar, and it can dogfight muchhh better.
Anyway, lets not dwell on the past, we can only pray for decompression to come and put the F-2A ADTW in a better spot.

It’s nice to finally carry rockets with actual ground weapons for free. On the AJ you had to choose between rockets or Mavericks

I think it could’ve done well with Dance of Dragons. I remember the J-10 being a really good dogfighter on release and it could probably give most average F-2 pilots a run for their money with its IR missiles.
plus that update was really empty aside from the J-10 and JF-17

I kinda expected gaijin to play on real life and add J-10B alongside F-2A. Would have made for a cool trailer at least.
Last month’s player statistics for 5.0 put the A6M3 Model 22 Ko and A6M5 Hei as the top dogs of their BR lol. A6M3 is also top on kills per spawn, per death, and winrate at 4.0. A6M3 Model 22 only barely loses to J21A-2 in KpS but wins in KpD and winrate.
Yeah I won’t be surprised if they move up in the near future.

To add to that, for anyone wondering how ADTW plays as of now, I have compiled a bit of stats over the last week or so on how 13.0 has it.
So if one is considering getting ADTW, make of that what you will.

top speed is worse than the F-16 because it has a higher wing span and more drag in level flight
while being able to keep up/ being better than the F-16A in a dogfight

it was to demonstrate how the “sad” plane that is 2.5 tons heavier than the F-16A and cant keep up with it
it is because drag dosent increase linearly especially at super sonic speeds
it increases exponentially to the speed
at supersonic speeds the air density also increases, further increasing drag
“doesn’t increase linearly” I get that but it’s still sad
and you didn’t even say anything to the fuel efficiency, that’s my main pet peeve
and sure you will win 1v1s but how often does such an situation occur in top tier tell me hmm?
