It can already carry 3 MK82 500lb bombs on one pylon
and the fuel tank is an accepted report

I found an album of photos of F-2, from different sides and angles. (I say that maybe someone has already sent it, but I still haven’t found it) I hope this will help us clarify the possibility of hanging different weapons on them.

We already have this Album on our Server, I went thru it and there is nothing that would imply loadouts we are not aware of / not getting atm (besides missing GCS-1 and ASM-2B, ASM-3).
GCS-1 is kinda big one considering we never got it with fake reason behind it

Technically we can get Zunis on TER pylons, they’re compatible.
(Japan doesn’t actively use them, but neither does it get FFARs on TERs on the F-2 but we got that in game.)

I can tell you’re a CAS hater, but you’re barking up the wrong tree here. Japan never had a strong CAS plane, not even now with the Thai F-16 and Gripen.

Eh, at least with Gripen Japan reached same CAs capabilities that Sweden has (even tho it’s one of the worst one), it is still straight up better than AJ or OCU thanks to Thermal pod and 65G’s.

Yeah, it came out at least six months late.

Therefore, the practical range of the AIM-120C-7 is not much different from the AIM-120A, as the C-5 is known.

The only thing the current F-2 is inferior in is top speed and acceleration but it beats the F-16 in maneuverability in every way

At least in maneuverability it’s easily one of the best in the game, far better than the F-16s. My guess is they meant the speed being slightly worse and just worded it weirdly.

I definitely feel this.
I would’ve at least expected something comparable to a Su-34 meta-wise (Electronically scanned array radar, no HMD, decent at A2A, and good F&F ground strike capability in return for not having all the bells and whistles) but it doesn’t even have the ASM-3, with it being less likely that the ASM-2 being able to target ground at all by the time the live server rolls around, meaning you have a very ok sidegrade in the Japanese tree at 13.7
I still remember when Gaijin staff stated that the F-2A would be too powerful and now look, they would introduce this plane past the point that it would be able to shine in the spotlight 😂
