Is the cannon change just x-ray or did the F-2 really shave ~400 kg, aka buff to FM, along with the other FM changes which seem to be buffs overall

I doubt it because difference should be only 20 kg (112 to 92 kg), I think they just forgot that ammo also weights a lot

From futher research on J/ASQ-2 I hit a wall. From all sources I found, all of which are at best secondary, non has any concrete details. In general it doesn’t really has MAWS, at least it cannot be proved, but it can identify incoming radar guided missile and deploy CMs as well as jam hostile radar sources. J/APR-4A RWR is seems to be pretty similar to base model just fully digital and with better CPU (tho I think there are RWR antennas on bottom side of the F-2). So it is faster and probably more preciese, but by all accounts it is still C-J band only. Mainly it was modernised to be integrated with J/TEWS of the F-15J

I believe you are missing the context to what I replied to. But yeah, I know none of those are service vehicles.
BUT if you want “what if” service vehicles, I believe the Rafale in game shouldn’t be able to carry 8 MICAs, since that’s only an export option iirc.

They’ve already been used for bug reports and denied. Japan is doing well as far as vehicles are concerned, but between F-2 HMD, F-15JM AIM-120C-5, and ASMs potentially losing ground track capability, Japan is getting screwed on smaller things.
