I’m quite surprised they decided to add 2 more ARH on inner pylons, instead of outer. Is there smth we missed? Or it’s just because of same pylons? Can we try to add 2 more missiles on outer pylons as well?
Likely because there is sources stating the outer MRM stations were scrapped before even the first F-2 was armed.
The inner stations on the other hand have all the necessary connections to fit MRM / ASM, as well as markings for them. However they’re not just direct copies of the usual MRM / ASM stations, meaning there is likely more than simply common parts behind this, even if it is a loadout not commonly used in favor of mounting fuel tanks there.
Maybe a point could be made that the issues of wing cracking that were the reason for scrapping these were fixed for the production aircraft, so it should be possible to integrate them in theory. But from what I’ve seen there is no functional MRM mounting for these outer stations, and no provisions for them that we would know of either, so I don’t think this would be accepted.
I grinded all the way to Japanese top tier with only two vehicles: A7M1 Reppú and F-5E FCU. A7 is incredible turnfighter, no one comes even close. F-5E is a very fun variant of the F-5, sitting at a fairly good BR with great flight performance and very good IR missiles.

oooooh, looking forward to it. The X-2 is a cute little plane.
The X-2 and DMU parts are already done, its just the GCAP part thats… complicated.

Has there been any word on if the F-2A can carry ×6 ASM-2 and if the ASM-2 can track and target ground vehicles?
Maybe even an ASM-3?
If it came with ground strike capability equivalent to the Su-30SM and Rafale, I would absolutely lose my head for Gaijin throwing a bone for Japan players 🤯
Given the pylons are on it, it should be able to. No word on ASM-2s tracking though. Same for the ASM-3, and they’re way too long range to be added to game. Actually just fire and forget from the opposite side of an EC map and its not even close to running out of energy.

No idea, but it appears the inner pylon has all the necessary wiring including wiring capabilities for weapons.
It also has the markings on the pylons showing ASM compatibility.
The issue is that maritime strike requires long range flights so if it’s carrying ASMs then the F-2 will always be carrying drop tanks as well. As it stands, its a theoretical loadout with nothing pointing to it not being possible, but at the same time we likely will never see it mounted because there really isn’t a circumstance where it would be mounted.

That is very interesting. BRU-47 means it should be able to carry anything the 15E does, assuming avionics compatible.
