I honestly have no idea, japanese F-15 variants have a lof of different upgrades and it’s just painful to separate them into somewhat different variants
Only the prototype that didn’t have weapons or something like that didn’t have AESA, first production jet already had it but I might be wrong about that, I don’t really remember.
Apparently it only got AESA in 2007, from cursory googling. It used the non-AESA radar when it entered service starting 2003.
I thought it was common knowledge that the EFT was a problematic aircraft with considerable delays in refurbishment, is that not so?
The first aircraft equipped with Captor-E, the AESA radar, or Tranche 3 Update aircraft, was deployed in Kuwait in 2021. The EFTs deployed in the rest of the world are still equipped with much older mechanical scanning radars, aren’t they?
Well it looks like we’re getting the F-15J MSIP if the new Fox-3 devblog is anything to go by. They have an F-15C firing an AIM-120. So I guess in theory, a Typhoon might be possible since they’re equivalents right?
Typhoon will come with future uptades i believe considering France is not getting Rafale.
It was mostly a tongue in cheek response but, I do wonder what Germany is getting since an F-4F ICE sounds miserable while everyone has already good top tier fighters being even better.

Germany will recieve F4F ICE and will most likely suffer, unless Gaijin adds Switzerland F-18 out of nowhere.

I feel like the F-4F ICE should just be a premium to jump straight into ARH gameplay, and give Germany something else. I say EFT since it means we don’t need to add F-18 to US as well. I can’t imagine they’d be happy with another country getting their plane before them. They’re getting the F-15C so I’d imagine they wouldn’t also get the F-18 too.

Wallet Warriors shouldnt jump into ARH meta without knowing basic things also Germany doesnt have too many options so ICE should be tech tree vehicle.

Realistically speaking, they’re jumping into it anyway with existing premiums, except they’re cannon fodder. I think it would be okay to add mediocre airframes with new tech as a way to get people to try them without being a huge influence on the team (few days after patch so matchmaking stabilizes).
Regardless, we shall see. Maybe soon than we know since the Fox 3 devblog was early.
Difference between Fox-1 and Fox-3 meta is huge.
Its true that current premiums are also causing problems but if they add premium jets with Fox-3 capables it will be even worse and as i said before Germany doesnt have too many options so İCE shouldnt be premium under any circumstances.
All European EFTs use a mechanical radar (Captor-M), its an extremely good mechanical radar that can give AESAs a run for their money. But mechanical all the same. There is a AESA available, but no one is really using as they’ve got F-35s instead
Tranche 4 uses Captor-E, Germany bought 38 in late 2020. I don’t see why they wouldn’t upgrade as F35 wont be in full service for a long time.

Sure, but they have a perfectly capable F-16AM, and might even get a J-10
Since the Su-27SM was shown I’d say that makes the J-11B more likely than the J-10
