Mitsubishi F-1

can someone help me to find this pic but better quality?

The source is manual so hard to argue with it
There isn’t mention of CCIP for guns and rockets in manual

I mean, it’s historical I guess…

But it still sucks that they can remove CCIP, but not add ALE-41K chaff pods

this is what F-1 use
no idea how it works

So when are you adding GCS-1 to japan? as it is able to track tanks as shown in this image

We have IR guided bombs already, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to require the GCS-1 to require lock before dropping if we’re that afraid of an unpowered, non-glide bomb.

GCS-1 effectively if it was implemented in the game would work the same as GBU-8

We have IR guided bombs, ASM, AGMs yet none for Japan have been added…

Thailand was introduced as a supposed “Fix” for japan’s CAS problem

however the current domestically produced aircraft all have guided weaponry (GCS-1 and ASM-1 and 2)

F-1 T-2, F-4EJ ADTW, F-4EJ Kai and F-15MJ all use GCS-1 so it would be lovely to see them get added, it’ll improve japan’s ability a bit more

Haha, why are you asking me when I’m not the developer? Everything I said was said by the developer before.

There is nothing to update here.

If you have problems, report with a source that explicitly states that the GCS-1’s seeker can track ground targets, such indirect sources will not be considered.

Well there is also hole’s in the developer’s implementation

e.g. Tornado IDS MFG’s AS.34 Kormoran anti-ship missile being able to track air targets and tank’s at a close range (despite not being able to do this IRL)

and the penguin anti ship missile being able to track tanks

GCS-1 should also be given a benefit of the doubt and get the same treatment

also please refer to the graph I sent before

i think you are unfairly attacked? by what you are saying for GCS-1 seeker. which retelling what the developer stance on it.
but i do think that they are doing double standard for AGM-119 (Penguin), which somehow managed to be able lock ground target while bug report said it can only lock onto ships here Bug Report.

while the GCS-1 is using similar seeker, somehow is not able to do the same is kinda hypocritical to me.

Does such a source exist for the recently added Penguin ASM?

Yeah unless there’s a source that clearly states the Penguin can track tanks, then this is some double standard BS, because you can’t say “Uhhhhhh IR munitions designed to attack ships can’t attack tanks because of how IR reflects off the sea differently and the seekerhead is optimized to take that into account” and then go and add an IR munition specifically designed to attack ships while still not adding other ones designed to attack ships. You either add all of them or none of them, don’t tug us around with this double standard crap.

It on top of GCS-1 750lb and 500lb, is lacking its AIM-9L compatibility and External Fuel tanks

(corrected ty skultew!)

Well… not KG but lb…
If it had 12 500kg bombs this plane would be really powerful

if i recall it could only carry GCS-1 on the wing’s which makes 4 750lb’s and 8 500lb’s, I think due to it being too large to fit 4 in the centre pylon on the F-1’s belly

Maybe I a little don’t understand you bit F-1 can take only 5 750lb or 10 500lb GCS-1
4 500lb can’t be used because it is too long

x4 (on a single pylon) can be used because of a double rack system for the 500lb, however the 750lb only 4 can be fitted

as shown in the images below

?
GCS-1 can be used only with 2 bombs at this number because too long

5th can be used with 5th under fuselage
