Missiles STILL Not Working

,

The devs devs are trying to gaslight us into thinking missiles got fixed, but half the time they still don’t work well. IR missiles track worse than ever, and the new AIM-120C-5 performs worse than the AIM-120B did before the update. Missiles don’t loft by themselves anymore – that’s a huge problem in low-altitude fights. Radar missiles don’t track reliably; even without chaff, half of them just miss. It’s extremely frustrating, especially since they claimed they’d solved this.

There could be multiple reasons that the missiles don’t work properly, and they only patched one. Just because it is still glitched doesn’t mean that they didn’t fix something. Just report it like everyone else and don’t come to the forums to schizo rant.

I already reported this. They’ve marked it as ‘solved,’ but it’s clearly NOT fixed.
Im just mad about how little they seem to care about a major issue that actively ruins top-tier gameplay.
It shouldn’t take so long to solve a problem that we didn’t have in the dev server.

Problems here aswell, 4 strelas into an F-105 that hardly tried to evade. They all impacted but did nothing.

I’m still seeing ones from two days ago that are still open and are being worked on; they are still actively working on this issue, even though you can’t seem to wrap your head around it. And you can’t comment on how long something takes when you aren’t the one making the game, you don’t know what issues they are running into, or what is causing this bug.

I only unlocked the SU33 this weekend so not sure how the missiles are meant to perform but I cannot get R27ER’s to track for the life of me. Over the whole weekend they managed to get 2 missiles to track and only one successfully to hit. Maintained lock the entire time, launched within 30km. The IR missiles still seemed to work for the most part. Don’t have any Fox 3 vehicles so can’t comment on them

R27ER’s are very reliable missiles normally. Unless the player you are launching at is notching you are pretty much guaranteed the kill within 15km. With DL the missile doesn’t really lose track, like sparrows tend to do. Could it be that you are launching from too far away? I usually only launch from 30km when head-on and high up.

You could be right, like I said I’m new to it. But I’m launching in mainly head ons if I can with a big altitude advantage. I’m up between 7-10km and M1.2+.

Like I know when they track because when viewi from the missile it puts the target on screen and tracks it. Where as most of the missiles launched don’t track anything at all. Furthest I launch is 35 when I’m up high but I try to get within 25km. Maintain lock the whole time and yeah the missile just isn’t interested, it’s weird

Yeah that strategy should absolutely work.
If you have any replays that would help a lot with analysis.

I would send some over but don’t have access to a PC, I’ll try and get some recordings over this week
