Those jets are usually easy enough to kill in the late subsonics and it doesn’t stop there.
There are many 9.3 supersonics of similar calibre.
Compression is an issue but why must Mirage III be ppaced in an unfavourable Br?
It would be more competitive at lower Br without Magic.
This can not be an issue since we already have similar aircraft at 9.7 and below.
those 9.3 super sonics used to be 10.0 E.G mig19
They got moved down Due to the addition of the su25 and A10, it literally compressed from 10.0 all the way down to 7.0 , as all the legacy air craft got moved out of the range of the mig19s, f104s etc etc. at 9.3

The advent of the A10 and Su25 completely compressed that entire area.
We do not need yet more planes in the 8.7-9.7 match maker that will cause even more compression.
You’ve used these planes a lot, you know fine well it would destroy the majority if not the entire lobby of 9.7 and down.

The FALCOs / AIM-26`es are really nice . They are slow but they pull nicely if given the chance. Should make it interesting to duel M21s that rely on their R3Rs

He’s talking about a 3C with aim9B’s at 9.7. which realistically makes no sense, as it would cause more compression.
The mirage that is being implemented should get the right missiles though , like it would make it genuinely a unique plane in of itself rather than just tossed in at 10.3 or 10.7 with generic sidewinders like 9Es, it should get the missiles it used.
Generally I prefer vehicles to have access to their full kit, tehn BR reflect that.
Like what they did with vextra for ages was just wrong, keeping it at 9.7 with the wrong round.
As much as I love this, the Mirage as it is should not get the P-5 IRCCM missile, for balance reasons. The BR increase (to 12.0 I would guess) would make the airframe totally obsolete. I’d much rather have the P-4 all aspect or the normal P-3 at ~11.0 or 10.3 respectively. That would make for a much better experience I would say.
Why 10.3 with the p-3?
it would be 10.7 with the 3E likely.
Id rather see it with its full kit, if its 12.0 then its 12.0, the p-5s would make it so its not obsolete.
The Hunter has the P-3 at 10.0 (the 63/80; normal AIM-9P in game)
The MiG-21SMT/MF has R-60 at 10.3
The Mirage 5BA has 9Js at 10.3
The Mirage 5F Magic 1s at 10.0
The Mirage IIIC has Magic 1s at 10.0

So I don’t think the IIIS with 9Ps would be so out of place at 10.3.
12.0 at the very least. 2 P-5s against tons of sparrows, R-24s and way better aircraft, like the F-18 or F-16. Totally not obsolete. It would be mercilessly outmatched. And the P-5s and the Falcons are not as good (in a long shot) as someting another upgraded aircraft, the 21Bison, has.
So no. 9P-5s are not a good addition to this aircraft, even if it had them historically.

I can agree to that. Give them the 9P-4. They were used historically, albeit only for training whereas the 9P-5 was the wartime ordonnance.
Still IRCCM missiles are not unheard of at even 11.7, so it would not be too far of a stretch, considering the other disadvantages the IIIS would have at e.g. 12.0…
Ah, but for now, the reports have been sent, the Dies are cast - we’ll just have to wait and see how they fall… ;-)
The issue is, the 11.7s found with IRCCM missiles e.g the A10C is, its extremely slow for the BR, like you’re talking its near half the speed of a mirage 3C, as well as that if you remove said missiles, it drops a full BR.
TBH it likely would benefit from the P-4s and sit at 10.7 same idea as the 3E, and if performance shows it do a lot better then possibly 11.0. (if it performs extremely well, seeing as the bis and mig23M sit at 11.0 as well)

I would rather see the C.70 with P5 myself.
Unless Gaijin wants to rule out the possible downtier to 11.7 I could see it being 11.7.
If it is 12.0 give it the 2 P5’s stock and be done with it.
I have had enough of overtiered Mirage III/5/50 variants running around the map without having a definitive missile or chance to engage in BFM without setting itself up for suicide.
C.70 at 11.7/12.0 would be a dangerous machine again without having to drag someone to the outskirts to dogfight or snipe some unaware or preocupied enemy.
Unfortunately with P-5’s id see it hitting 12.0, purely due to teh fact it A has counter measures and B is a mirage platform with decent avionics.
If it can mount 4 P-5s it owuld be ideal at 12.0 TBH
Though what form of SARH(if any can it use)?
