AMIR & MIRO forever
Goodbye AMIR
Goodbye MIRO
Ahhh, home, sweet home…
How I miss those times. = (
IIRC the absolute lowest supersonic platform with IRCCM missiles is the Mirage F1 and the premium variant.
The Magic 2 isn’t really IRCCM, is it?
Im pretty sure it has FoV gate, unless you refer to something else.
and that’s how it should stay. Im personally very happy with a 10.3 Mirage with decent SARH and 9Es. I cant understand why people want P5’s on it .
I get why people hate when aircrafts get “Early” & “Late” variants in the TT, but im gonna have a spicy take, i think these solve lot of issues with aircraft payloads.
We could have current Mirage IIIS as early variant and later get IIIS late variant with allaspects.
Both camps get what they want.
Because the variant that they modelled was the modernized one with better aerodynamics, better RWR, countermeasures and, yes, better missiles!
Like now they’re the 85-99 aircraft with 69-75 weapons, which makes no sense.
If they had aimed for a 10.3 MIRO with early missiles, they should hae modelled that one, not the one with canards etc.
Yes, absolutely - but then wit the correct early model:
Just think about it: It would be a bit similar like giving the Germans the F-4F KWS but restrict its weapon load to the one the non-upgraded F-4F had. (Note KWS in the Phantom stands for KampfWertSteigerung - “combat value improvement”, just as the expression KAWEST for the modernized Mirage IIIS does…)
(Well, not exactly, but that direction.)
Say Buccaneer S.2B, but with none of its characteristic weapons, only weapons of the S.2 or even S.1…
Or F-104S ASA but with F-104G’s weapons only.
Either you do one (which is perfectly fine), or you do the other (which is also perfectly fine). Just not merge the two unrealistically together.
And for the Swiss F-5E, they did exactly the same thing…
more the merrier.
sadly gaijin does this all the time. AFAIK F-4E is mishmash of early service anti-air missiles and late service A2G ordnance. Without the pave knife or pave spike pod (and LGBs).
Apparently, according to gaijin, the F-4E model we have in game is a 1970s variant.
I wish gaijin was more consistent on the variant of jet they add instead mish-mashing a bunch of different variants
1970s variant had that modern rwr that it currently has?
Same IRCCM system as the R73 mate
So the plane doesn’t get its good missiles or anything ?
@Schindibee feels a bit hollow of a plane tbh
Just had to take a second look, are those fking aim9B equivelant missiles -.-
Hollow! That’s a great way to describe how I feel about it!
I really love that they added the Mirage, and find in some aspects (model, cockpit) they have really done a very good job, but the implementation of its systems and armament is - sorry - an absolute joke and disgrace.
There’s so much wasted potential here with so many of the additions :(
MSC got nerfed quite heavily as well
the hunter F58A seems to be incorrect with the RWR :(
Yeah nah I wont go deeper but I was generally looking forward to this mirage, now its pointless to even go for.
Yes, but actually there I’m not 100% sure as there were different intermediate upgrade stages before the final one we got in form of the Squadron Mk.58.
What also is completely beyond my understandig is the Tiger: Why model it after the upgrade done '86-'90, give it the vastly superior APG-69 radar the Swiss never had abd was only installed into the aircraft the US Navy purchased from us from 2002 onwards, and again give it the armament of '75-'85?!?
The Hornet I can forgive: Would be more accurate with AIM-9P-5’s fpr the early variant, but adding AMRAAM’s to it would shift it to a BR not suitable as Premium (yet).
Did it not go the first F58 hunter, which was essentially the F6.
Then upgraded straight to the squadron version on it?
I Do not understand this at all TBH the update feels really, off.
Like The F2 as well feels wrong to fly as well.
That F5E really feels like its missing most its kit.
Eh im out for abit sod it
At least some had the radar installed in 1985
