Again. Date of service or historical comabt means nothing, otherwise by the same logic you would have F-15s and Tornado F3s with Aim-9Ms at the same BR as the Mig-23 based upon Desert Storm.

Them moving the F-15s down to 12.7 has made it any better but hopefull they might fix that mistake
Look I’m not gonna lie… that sale was probably Gaijin trying to incite FOMO on vehicles that aren’t selling well or that got nerfed/powercrept and that no one’s buying because they suck.
Again I never tried the mig23 but it seems like Gaijin nerfed it pretty brutally last year and it’s no longer the monster it used to be.
It certainly hasn’t helped it that’s for sure.
Though I think its kinda insane it took like 3 years for them to actually nerf it down to IRL level, I dont think its actually at IRL level and is still overperforming a bit and after the nerfs, its still one of the stronger aircraft at 11.7, how it was at the same BR before is totally beyond me

Depends on whether it’s an uptier or a downtier. Compression issue. F-15s going down to 12.7 just made things even worse for it…

Im ignoring the terrible state of compression at that BR entirely. That alone it should be lower.
But:
Magic II great missile, the SARH is a trash missile and the missile count is limited
CM count is amazing but the RWR and radar is weak
FM I have no complaints and no real praises either.
It just balances out at being “fine”.

Iirc the gunpods on it used to be bugged and had no weight / drag, which is why they were occasionally brought up on the plane. But yeah they’ve been fixed for a long time and really arent worth much now.

I disagree. I think the Mig 23ML is pretty good after you learn how to play it. I carry two napalm and two R24R’s. I go straight for the base first and then shoot down (or try) two aircraft. It’s not even that difficult to shoot down the f-18 when you’re uptiered. I usually fly up to around 20,000 ft and catch somebody coming at me head on… Especially if I have an all missile loadout and no napalm. I think the biggest downfall of the mig-23 is if you don’t watch your speed, you rip the wings off pretty easily.
