If you die to a Mirage F.1 in J-7E something has gone terribly wrong.

Just because Mirage F.1 is not the absolute 1v1 machine or missile bus does not mean it is not very good at 12.0.

Matchmaking around 12.0 is completely broken — the sheer number of premium vehicles means that all 12.0s are constantly uptiered, the gameplay is miserable, and battles last around 3 minutes at best. If I didn’t need to research aircraft, I’d avoid BR 12.0 entirely. The Mirage at 12.0 is hopelessly underperforming, but of course, it’s not a Russian plane like the MiG-23, so its BR won’t be lowered anytime soon. Unless matchmaking changes and 12.0s stop being constantly +1, playing this aircraft is a necessary evil. Unlike the vast majority of other vehicles at BR 12.0, the Mirage stands no chance when uptiered.
Until there’s a fundamental change in matchmaking, the Mirage will remain just food for F-18s and the like, because it gets a 100% of battles uptier.

Russia doesnt get bias in air, only the much better Mig-23ML is on 11.7, while the Mirage sits on 12.0.
Mirage F1 is 12.0 because it can bomb + it has two irccm magic 2s. If it didn’t have magic 2s it would be 11.3. The MiG-23 isn’t 12.0 because it has issues the other 12.0s don’t have to such a degree.

Because I was comparing premium planes, once on the same BR.
It is not a “low skill floor” vehicle.
There’s no reason for it to be at a higher BR than any of the 11.7 MiG 23. Now the most reasonable solution is to increase BR to 15.0 and limit uptiers to 0.7 instead of 1; this way we ensure that no lower tier aircraft with few flares get rekted by Magic 2, and it prevents the F1C from getting matched against Fox 3 and lots of Fox 1/2.
Lowering the BR 11.7 is simply not good enough because it’s still gonna face aircraft with over 10 years of difference on the regular that are capable of BVR and which are a nightmare to deal with without proper RWR.
I think it generally is just because of how free magic 2 kills are in air rb, combined with the fact most people will bomb with it in addition to this
