idk what ur talking about, u challenged that I spaded the two jets
not how magic 2 irccm works
not by default, my point is the mf1 also goes very fast once its at speed and doesnt struggle to intercept things when you aren’t pointlessly bleeding energy or taking bad lines
Lol, it’s a compression problem, I’m gonna be real the Mirage definitely ain’t the worst but even if it was I wouldn’t want to compress 11.x and 10.x into seeing that lol
it can’t win against the F-16, but can against the MiG-23MLD in certain circunstances since it’s way lighter and has good thrust.
F-5E has more than half the thrust of the MiG-23MLD using afterburner, and it’s way lighter, so it would be faster for a period of time, however the Flogger in better on the long run.
What? Win in a dogfight? Why are you bringing up random stuff? We were and are talking about engine thrust where you said quote,
You directly say here, with no doubt or capability of misunderstanding, that the F-5 Tiger II (even the F-5C) has higher thrust than the F-16 or JAS39 or MiG-23 and that it also will have better acceleration than all of these.
I have no idea what else u could be alluding to because F-5 doesn’t win either of these races. MiG-23 and F-16 are both always faster and always accelerate better
No, what matters is thrust to weight. Having two engines does not default to better performance
Same exact thing when people complain about their jet not having an afterburner and “facing afterburner jets its so unfair” and then you find out they’re flying a MiG-17 that out accelerates a ton of the afterburning jets it faces
Only compared to the exact same aircraft not having one. Afterburner does nothing by itself. Thrust to weight is what matters. You cannot say its a pro that one aircraft has an afterburner and the other doesn’t. That’s not how engines work. The non afterburning engine can literally be 5x stronger.
afterburner gives a quick acceleration the non-afterburner aircraft usually don’t have.
when u’re using a non-afterburner jet, the plane starts gaining speed slowly (this is mostly visuable when taking off), while the afterburner jet accelerates way faster due to a forced combustion.
afterburner does nothing by itself but add thrust, if that thrust doesn’t exceed the thrust of another jet that isnt afterburning then the afterburner quite literally did nothing
lots of examples of afterburning jets being slower/worse accel than non-afterburning jets
The solution as always is a general BR increase for everything above 12.0. Bring the BR up to 15.0 and move everything around to decompress.
Almost anytime you decrease the BR of something, it results in it being OP for the lower BR’s that it ends up facing
