also the RWR is pretty DS, i have gotten many moments where my RWR detects a missile that wasn’t coming for me as a LAUNCH warning.
i even got a match where a MiG-23MLD i was chasing (i was behind him) launched a R-24R to one of my allies and my RWR detected it as a LAUNCH warning even when the missile wasn’t even being launched in my direction.
using the F1 in an uptier is impossible, i rather get killed by an AIM-9M i didn’t see, a R-27ER from a Su-33 or a Fakour-90 from a F-14A IRIAF (which must go up to 13.3).
We are not talking about MiG-23, but R-24R is easier to avoid by notching or multipathing than magic 2 is when a mirage f1 gets anywhere rear or side aspect to you within 1.5km
the mf1 is destined to be a mid mobile until/if they decompress. You’re not going to get it at 11.7 so you can stomp in endless downtiers getting free kills

free kills? anything with barely good maneuverability can dogfight u with ease.
at 11.7 u would still be facing F-15A and BS planes that can stomp the plane u’re talking about to stay where it is, and there’s plenty of 10.7 with flares and chaff that can dodge the missiles of the F1.
Magic 2 is only good if ur enemy is dumb, cuz there’s a lot of tutorials about how to dodge IRCCM missiles, no Tornado/F-14 is exception to dodge one at close range. i have dodged multiple AAM-3/R-73 coming from behind (and as i know, the Mirage F1 has a quite hot engine).
530F is one chaff-able / Magic 2 only works well from behind and if ur enemy has a hot engine (not F-5).
I’m talking about magic 2s being free kills generally speaking when employed correctly. R-24R is similar but not quite as effective in the correct situations for both because its easier to multipath or notch than it is to flare a magic 2 at 1.5km rear/side aspect.

u don’t need to employ correctly a R-24R to get a kill, just point & click and is pretty much a secured kill, no matter if ur target notches (since it has IOG).
did u know there’s a button called “turn on/off engine”? i use it in the MiG-25PD (which is the plane with the hottest engines ingame) to dodge IR missiles, and it works pretty well, i recommend u to use that button ;)

sneak up, sure, tell me how to do it when there’s enemies rushing to my position to gun kill me or launch an AIM-9 at me while im slow and trying to get the rear of my target while also positioning myself to get a good shot since Magic 2s can get one-flared if used incorrectly.

thats not how iog works, u can avoid iog by just climbing 15 meters after notching, it isnt guaranteed kill

when i do this i barely can get 1 kill.
i survive all the match without getting touched by not even a bullet, but i can barely make a kill cuz there’s more people doing the same thing as me.
i play it at 5000m/6500m dropping 530F over clueless targets (which actually works most of the time) and diving over multipathers with Magic 2 (which usually also works most of the time but variates if there’s allies nearby launching IR missiles too).

i have been watching that gatewidth works almost the same as the pneumatic suspension, basically tested it in public when facing R-73.
twin engine has better thrust and acceleration (plus F-15 was literally hand-crafted to get speed in seconds), the MF1 has heavy FM paired with a bad engine (MiG-23MLD has 10000kgf with afterburner if fully spaded vs. Mirage F1CT has 6800kgf with afterburner if fully spaded, and yes i have already spaded the F1CT, i only need the CAS weaponry).
it’s an option, an option i have already gave, but we (u and me) know Gaijin will never do it OR do it with an unfair condition or smth.
