Mirage 2000 Thread : Variants, performance, characteristics and sources

You clearly don’t dogfight much then

There should be some difference in the FM due to the rafale (and eurofighter) being twin engine and having larger surface area in general.
I don’t really know how this will impact things in game but I somewhat expect the rafale and euro fighter to be able to pull about as much AOA (this will depend on FL implementation) and have a bit worse energy retention (with similar TWR but more drag overall when pulling similar AOA). Rafale and EF might handle better at higher speeds.
Smaller aircrafts are generally better at lower speed, as we can see already in game, like the mig29 and su27 which have similar philosophy but with the mig29 being a better dog fighter

i think the J-10 took most design features from a certain domestic israeli plane, hmmmmmmm

Tbh, if we look at who’s done it first (even in concept) the J-10 are doing it first because J-10 are based on the J-9 which is bear striking resemblance to the contemporary J-10. While IAI Lavi was based on F-16, and also have shorter fuselage.

mirage simply cannot compete lmao, 1v1 me with me in the block 10 and ill slam the mirage 2k

Not rn thanks, still learning how to DF in it since it’s my first mirage and i got it 2 days ago, give me a week or two to become sufficient with it and I’ll run some dogfights

So in other words. You’re talking with no experience. Nice

ok yeah after trying the 2000D RMV, i have no idea how its higher br in air realistic then m2kC, and the same goes for D-R1

i only played 2 matches of D RVM, and both of them were 12.7-13.7 matches. Both of those planes are 12.0 material ill be honest with you. maybe 12.3 for RMV, and same should go with sim.

Reason (Even if i find it stupid):
GPS bombs
HMD(Mainly)
Has great evolution potential (Possibility of AASM + Talios + someday MICA IR)

Also they don’t make R1 12.0 and RMV 12.3 because there is already the F1s in 12.0 and Having an airframe as good as 2K at same BR than the F1 would be kinda weird even if R1 doesn’t have radar missiles.

In game the MiG-29 loses to the 27 pretty hard

right, meanwhile F4Junk and F4S are sitting at the same br, not to add to the fact that the “gps bombs” are LGBU’s, meaning they have more drag thus less distance compared to jdam.

and potential doesnt mean anything, if we are talking about right now.

this statement doesnt make sense either, it is a better airframe, but you are trading off 2 at least decent radar missiles, and there is barely difference between the countermeasure count (mf1 192, m2k 254) sure its still more, but at that numbers, you are not gonna run out of countermeasures anyway.

not only that, but R1 doesnt even have HMD, radar missiles, or a2a radar, and it sits at the same br as mirage 2000C as i said.

for atleast m2kd rmv to be viable in air realistic, you need to lower it down to 12.3. hmd is not a reason to have it at 12.7 meanwhile r1 is barely 12.3 worthy.

That isn’t the case, the F-16, Gripen, J-10 have no problems with extended engagements.

This the guy that thought the Mirage F1 had a pulse doppler? lol. He’s a good pilot but at some point the skill issue of these average air RB pilots must be considered when factoring someone’s opinion on what is best… because even stuff that isn’t meta can certainly be used exceedingly well against the average air RB pilot.

I’d have to disagree heavily with you then.

In any scenario where you attempt to energy trap you will certainly eat an R-73 from the MiG-29 or Su-27, against the F-15 you’d eat an AIM-9M or simply fail to energy trap them.

The J-10 is probably one of the best flight models in the game currently with fantastic low speed performance and the ordnance it has is quite good. The ability to slave the PL-5EII or the PL-12 up to 85 degrees off-bore is great.

I had thirteen seizures trying to understand the nonsense.

idk what to say other then: “skill issue, learn english then”

i said “from my experience”, and my experience can differ from others. mainly because i play sim most of the time nowadays.

Flew the D RMV in the sim today, ofc its lovely to fly with 5 GPS bombs, but my question is, is there any good bug reports about the CCRP line missing from all mirage 2000’s and mirage f1ct hud?

Unfortunately there are no bug reports with reliable sources for the CCRP issue, no image/source talks about this mode.

Spoiler

DCS WORLD - Tuto - M2000C - CCRP

Otherwise how did you find the plane in simulation ? I’ve played 3 games so far and personally I found it incredible but especially in air to air, the HMD really allows you to get out of a lot of situations, on the other hand the Br quickly makes it ineffective, especially for games in 12.3-13.0

Of which kind?

You addressed the wrong guy I think.

Does anyone have info on the 2000-5ei flare chaff dispenser? Now it is modeled with only 16 built in large caliber + éclair M while the accessory box where the éclair M is installed is occupied with tail hook arrester.

It would make it more unique if if had the correct dispenser

Few things wrong here, the Mirage 2000D RMV is a cheap upgrade program for low-intensity combat. France has its Rafale, the great omnirole fighter everyone knows and many love, and the Mirage 2000s, the things that can be used when a Rafale is simply too much, because France still has a lot of those. So the missiles of the 2000D when its flying buddy-buddy with a Rafale to provide a little boost of firepower, or with Mirage 2000-5s to handle some small conflict or similar conditions, is more than enough for the RMV to defend itself

It’s a proper and functioning tactic and doctrine, it simply won’t be replicated in WT

Pretty sure its just like that because you are stock. With the MAW modification, you get 112 chaff, 40 large caliber countermeasures and 54 normal caliber countermeasures

Isn’t he pointing out that even though it is equipped with ECLAIR, it is still a tailhook on the model?
