It’s been bug reported many times before as well as with the Mirage 4000. They’ve all been passed to devs but nothing has come of them so far. If my math is right I believe the only M2K with an accurate countermeasure count currently is the S-4.
That’s categorically wrong
how many should it have then?

Other reports may need a change in the model as they suggest different layouts, this report is about CM amounts following the game cm layout, forwarded
Additionally has also been reported
AUF2 Double Rack for wing pylons
Quad-Rack 250kg dumb bombs for station 2-5-8
Shouldn’t the 2000D RMV still retain the CC630 gun pod as well? It currently doesn’t have it in the dev server so I was curious.
Thank you Bug Reporting Manager #1
Brother, have you found the relevant information? I hope you can submit it in the issues
There won’t be much. It’s not easy to prove that something was never used.
The thing is, that the French 5F also never used an HMD.
The HMD was tested on various Mirage 2000, but never entered service. In this case, it could be argued that the 5EI has about has much reasons to get the HMD than the 5F. Now, in this case, you could advocate for pure historical accuracy, but I’d prefer not, because the HMD is an extremely important feature to have at top tier now
But this reduces its weight to 13.3 to 13.3, and the queue will be in front of j10
Not only that, but there’s plenty of other vehicles in the game that use tested/planned equipment, or in some cases technically possible when it comes to ammunition such as Ariete’s using DM53 and such. War Thunder isn’t a pure historical simulator, no point in trying to impose that on one singular nation. Things will be added that are deemed necessary to balance a vehicle even if it was only tested.
It’s why I’m not necessarily too against the 2000D RMV getting the AASM down the road even though it only tested it. But right now wouldn’t be a good time since the Grom-1 was just removed.
What part is wrong? I thought with the visual models as they are now the S4 has the correct amount of CMs, with the S5 having the correct number from the Eclair pod but still missing 64 chaff from the Spirale dispensers. Both the 5F and D are missing the 64 Spirale chaff in addition to 30 small caliber CMs missing from the Eclair-M.
Can the Mirage 200C-S4 get the Eclair-M dispenser?
The AASM is closer to the Gromm-2 than the Gromm-1. Its maximum range is estimated at about 70km when fired at high altitude. + Its explosive charge is much lower because the kit is mounted on Mk series bomb bodies and we will not have heavier than the Mk82 version under the Mirage (there are AASM kits mounted on Mk84 bombs but the DGA and the CEV have only tested the Mk82 version to my knowledge )
The real question is what version of the bomb will be offered if it is added?
Because in reality the bomb has 3 different versions of guidance (GPS, GPS+Laser and GPS+IR), I suppose that we would have a GPS only version in game with maybe a GPS+Laser version (similar to the Paveway IV of the Tornado Gr4). The GPS+IR version would be slightly too powerful for my taste because it would allow a form of LOAL on long range ammunition
yes but the counterpoint to that would be that we already have something similar in the form of the Kh38T and, in almost a similar fashion, the GBU-15V2B.
Not exactly, the GPS+IR version is guided by GPS to the approximate target area and then locks on to it with the IR sensor, so you can stay about 50km away from the battlefield and fire your missiles effortlessly, the other IR guided munitions require an IR lock to be released and are usually lockable at about 20km. The idea behind designing this guidance was to be able to aim precisely when shooting above the clouds without any visibility of the ground.
huh. well, i suppose that could be a bit powerful but i dunno how overpowered it would be vs small ish tanks and AAs in ground RB. mostly because things tend to move around (right? lmfao).
This is precisely the problem, since the bomb has a guidance capacity which is very effective, at the moment when it passes under the clouds, it locks on an IR target which is in its field of vision and rushes towards it, even if you move you die
The only way to avoid this would be to have the engine off to have the smallest possible infrared signature.
dats pretty cracked tbh. but hey, why not, let france be cracked for one patch lol
As a French, it wouldn’t bother me at all.
Besides, the fact that there is an “Airbust” mode to hit flying objects makes me laugh a lot.
