I have been doing fine with the full air to air loadout in the Mirage F1.The Super 530s can be nice against afk people or those who didn’t bring chaff. One of my best purchases ever, very fun. Also Magic 2 is unreal.
Talisman Mirage IIIE or Mirage F.1C. Both can be played comfortably due to having countermeasures.
Milan might benefit from the Br changes.
F.1 is pretty goof if you play it right.
Is Mirage 2k 5f competitive in terms of flight perfomance at top tier? Also im currently playing c-s5 and wanted to ask how should i fight f16s and f15s? I usually just try to slow down to around 500-800 km/h and cut inside their turning circle and it usually works but im not sure if thats the best strategy
I have the Mirage-2000C4 and they are basically the same I think. The mirage-2000 maintains speed extremely well, especially compared to something like Su-27 that dumps all speed in 1-2 turns
People have poor skill levels when it comes to dogfights in general, the mirage is pretty competitive due to its great (albeit strange, feels a bit like a UFO) energy retention, you can keep it for a long time, making you quite dangerous, F16 blk 10 ans F-15A wrecks you, and F-15C loses to you, block 15 and block 50 can kill you with ease if they somehow know what they’re doing.
Don’t refer to most of your dogfights in ARB as being representative of most matchups you will face. As I stated, people are really bad in duels.
I think a fight against a block 50 is much closer than that. At equal skills, guns only, the f16c will take ages to get its position, to much for a war thunder match with 15 other players to not come and steal a kill.
With missiles, the mirage 2000 can make quite indecent offbore shots against a f16 with the magic 2, while the aim9m is more limited in dogfight ranges
İ prefer Magic-2 over the R-73 because of how badly implemented the R-73 is.
Magic-2 turns Extremely aggressively after launch
R-73 either overestimates how much it needs to turn and starts spinning out of control
Or it underestimates some very easy shots and the target gets out of seeker angle while the R-73 is turning like a 9B
(These are dogfight scenarios, not long range shots)

İt surprised lots of people when I used it in my F1C today, got some insane kills with it
Sometimes I can trick people in head ons when I turn out of the head on but then launch the magical missile. They often don’t expect it.
Magic 2 is def my number 1 IR missile.
Every feature makes a super deadly missile:
- Low FOV IRCCM
- High thrust motor
- Short motor time
- insane early pull
Each feature multiplies the other like no other missile has
I’m mainly talking about guns only duels, but yes I can understand your point, nonetheless, the F16 is a UFO and even the C can slap the mirage out of the air without too much trouble, especially since it got a hard nerf at low speed.
Ofc I’m talking at equal skill level, which is… almost non existent
Super 530 is worse than ever. Combined with the lack of a normal PD mode it is surprisignly ‘‘difficult’’ to stay on top of things.

MICA missile missing some kinetic energy
Currently in a vertical launch situation, the MICA missile is only capable of doing Mach 2.54 when it should be able to do Mach 3. Also, at 13km away, the MICA missile drops to a speed of about Mach 0.84, when it should be ~Mach 1.25. This shows that the missile is missing roughly Mach 0.4-0.5 in speed. Further reduction of drag may be necessary.

İt’s the same for R-77, the only missile that is allowed to have competitive range is Aim-120 right now (no surprise here)

I have to say I haven’t played much since the update (as you can see on my profile lol), with a few games in the M2K and no dogfights so I really don’t know how the mirage 2000 handles against f16s at low speed.
Thanks for the info. I was expecting that the better energy retention at higher speed would actually benefit the M2K against a f16 more than the nerf at lower speed would impact it.
Anyway, the mirage 2000 is still good enough in about every metric, from FM to armement that I still consider it one of the best jet in game, better than the su27sm, all the f16s, and on par with the f15c. But that’s a completely personal (and biased) opinion

As i understood it’s fixed at least for the count for most mirage just we have big countermeasures that is why there are fewer, tho still mirage 4000 missing a lot, except if they changed really recently
It is not fixed. The reports are still open according to Smin.
LMAO if anything we are further from what we could call accurate than before the update.
