MICA EM is missing over-the-shoulder capability

Currently when you shoot a target going past you, the missile will lose lock instead of properly doing a 180 degree maneuver to chase the target.

This should also theoretically allow the MICA missile to come back and retarget an aircraft in a dogfight if it misses the target the first time.

Not sure on how it performs with the instructor (which sadly.is usually what people are interested in). But reduced to the FM alone the M2K seems to be excellent in a dogfight. I was able to completely dominate a F-15 even though i lost soght of it for a while.

I just learned about the Mirage 2000D RMV. How will that be an improvement over the R1? I wonder if this will be the latest aircraft model in the game. I hope they add this soon.

Mostly a bit better armament, with MICA IR and AASM

did the mirage 2000s have anything like ARMs? I’m having trouble killing pantsirs at range since they can just shoot down pgms, any tips aswell?

Theoretically they can just shoot down ARMs too. There’s GPS Paveways that Mirage 2000s can use. Imagine Paveways that have GPS plus datalink, so you can just drop it at a specific location since most Pantsirs are stationary, and then you can update the position of the targeting location through targeting pod if need be, otherwise you’d be free to disengage rather than continuing to lase. And its particularly difficult to shoot down Paveways. But currently GPS Paveways aren’t an addition at the moment even though it would fit onto many NATO aircrafts at top tier. GPS Paveways should be the next step in countering SAMs.

do we have a manual page on what ordinance the 2000-5’s could take? I imagine the next step in countering sams would be chunkier air to surface missiles like scalps (would work the same was as gps paveways) or ARHs

is it just descrption of things is much detailed on english version of the game or you have a mod or a specific option enabled?

The 2 French guys podcast did a new one on the mirage 2000 specifically. It’s very interesting, as always (in French but I think automated subtitles are okay)

I’ll edit some interesting stuff :
Mirage 2000D and N should be stuck at Mach 1.4 since the movable air entry does not open enough to allow for more air to enter (26:00)

Considering 2000D rip wings at Mach 1.35 i don’t know if it would impact it in anyway in game lul also you don’t go high alt in 2KD so having the limitation or not is kinda irrelevant therefore making the code line(-s) for it useless and a loss of time.

Rip speed gets higher as you go up in altitude, the amount of drag/air decreases

As said an M2KD player couldn’t care less about that as if they go high they are dead and it is pointless as M2KD only have Magic 2s.

I fly high in Mirage 2000. It works well.
