Mirage 2000 Thread : Variants, performance, characteristics and sources

I think a good intermediary solution (suggested by Giovanex05 and I) would be to have the usual RB controls with a toggle that would allow you to change the G limit of your pull, kind of how we have auto wing sweep with an option to change it manual.

So you could fly normally like you usually do. And if you want more granular control, say you are going into a rate fight in a MiG-29, you could toggle the G pull limit (or \alpha, or elevator deflection, depending on how it is implemented) to manual and decrease it so that you don’t pull to hard, while maintaining the usual RB control scheme.

IT would probably be a giant pain in the ass to implement, as it seems that writing the instructor is largely a manual job, so making sure it works well for the entire range of the manual limit would take a lot of tuning.

You only need it do do specific high alpha manuvers, or to get a good sustained turn rate without the instructor causing problems.

There’s a keybind to swap between controlls in game, it’s worth using every now and then.

I also often use it in conjunction with the setting for trim controls, which let’s you make sustained high G turns without being affected by G-Loc.

Don’t have any on hand unfortunately

I excuse in advance if it is not the right topic, but since there will be a separate br for ground and air for planes.
Are there any planes especially mid - top br in France tech tree that we could suggest gaijin to make it go down for ground battle to make them match their potential in this mode ?

Is this picture enough evidence to allow a future 2000D/N/5mk2 to receive AASM?

2000D yes, but you should find which variant got them: R1/R2/R3 /RMV ???

2000N no, as it was retired before.

2000-5F have no double seater

MICAs confirmed

MICAs being mentioned first, based Gaijin.

What’s a bit troubling is new F-15 and new Su-27 with fox 3s. So Gaijin will need to buff Magic 2s again this patch in order for M2K-5F to keep parity with bigger loadouts.

M2K-5F can have better fox 2s and fox 3s while other planes can have more missiles.

getting the Magic 2 even better, i’m thinking about its IRCCM, would also help the 4000 stay a bit relevant, it’s a Magic truck after all ^^

Yeah, that’s what I’m going to be looking at, making the IRCCM better for the Magic 2

Well if they fix multipathing i dont think we’re gonna need Magic-2’s on 5F although potantiel buffs are always welcomed.

Don’t forget we are getting better pulling authority at higher speeds, hopefully not too large to get very slow faster, but meaningful. But I agree. France shall have better missiles and aviaonics but less player per team (less play France) and less missiles per carrier.

They’ve been silent on multipathing weirdly enough, so not sure. And if they did anything to multipathing, I would think they might reduce it rather than getting rid of it completely possibly?

Well even just reducing it to a realistic level pretty much negates it entirely.

Yeah better dogfighting performance never hurts, and M2K-5F should be one of the planes getting many more countermeasures as well. If they keep the small caliber flares we should see something like 144 flares and 112 chaffs.

M2K-5F should be one of those planes that you do your absolute best to avoid going into the merge with if they buff the Magic 2’s IRCCM and they implement MICAs reports

Well if they reduce its effectiveness to half it will be amazing buffs for all Fox-3 missiles, especially for MICA.

I dont think i will run Magic-2’s on my 5F if that happens.

Would 50m even negate it? I’ve seen players skimming that low with little efforts

Can I ask you, what is your position about the bug report for M2K-5F with air to ground ordnance? I would like to keep it as it is, but I understand if it is not realistic.

Highest realistic altitude is 33m on the Skyflash. Lowest realistic is 5m on the 7M. And ALL should only occur over calm sea’s or flat terrain. It should not occur over broken terrain or forests at all.

Once I obtain more info, I could bug report the unrealistic air to ground loadouts. I think i might already do, and can give it a try but I’ll have to get a tech mod’s opinion first.
