Those are the basis but keep in mind that the SNA (weaponary manager) of the -5F is not able to manage A2G weapons.
Then go play DCS i’m starting to get sick of players complaining “x vehicle get in x country tree ew” that’s just how it is i don’t find it bothering. I could understand the opposite point like “X vehicle from my country is put in another nation it pisses me” but that’s it. As it has already been said “If you don’t like seeing “your” vehicles being used by another country then you should complain to people that decided to export it”.
There’s multiple variants of Mirage 2000-5s. Mirage 2000-5F is the air to air variant which deleted the A2G capability. France used Mirage 2000Ds as their primary A2G aircraft.
Taiwan and France both ordered Mirage 2000-5Fs. Others have Mirage 2000-5s with air to ground capability.

The DDM MAWS report was reflected to include 2000D and 2000-5F when both arrived into the game. But, this system is a bit more complex than what is on the F-111 and Harrier GR.7 hence why it is taking awhile to arrive. Hopefully it comes in the next major patch, maybe we will see it on the dev server.

To be honest, I’m not that optimistic, I don’t believe Gaijin would want to buff the Mirage 2000.
Considering its been getting buffed every single update since it came out I’m hopeful.

Smin commented on the report DDM-MAWS being labeled as “not a bug’”. He said it is still there internally for devs to see, but it is a historical report, and not an actual game bug. Something can be labeled not a bug, but still be accepted and acknowledged.

The MAWS on the M2K works differently to what F-111 and Harrier GR.7 has, so it isn’t fair to compare them.

The bigger issue imo, is getting them to implement more of the Magic 2’s existing reports and getting the instructor fixed so that the M2K can remain relevant against Su-27SM and F-15C.

I will remain cautiously optimistic.
I might add that depending on which reports they implement, Magic might become either the best or the worst IRCCM missile. Currently its main strength is its stupid acceleration coupled with its inner gate irccm, which makes it very difficult to react to.
If they only implement the burntime report, that advantage will completely disappear, making it a meh missile.
If they implement both the burntime and irccm report, it will basically become an 9M that’s impossible to flare at close range, probably kinetically worse though.
If they implement all the previous + 50Gs dual plane, it should unarguably become the best.

It’s just that we have quite a few F-16’s in game already and it will only be more in the future.
F-16 is not needed in the French tech tree.
You could of course add F-22 to all nations implemented when the time comes but why would you?
Btw. War Thunder does to some extend advertise a certain amount auf realism.
Until we have arms dealers as in armoured warfare I do expect a nations tree to be somewhat limited to that nations inventory. Even if softened up with premium and squadron vehicles from other countries or prototypes.
Especially if there is no gap that needs filling to begin with.
Yeah that’s also partially what I’m worried about. They really need to get going on Magic 2 seeker reports if they’re gonna add Python 4 anytime soon.

You should check up more from this thread, there’s a lot of effort from these community to make Mirage 2000 competitive in a top tier match. It’s a remarkable effort really sorting out all these documents.
Because, I don’t really mean to brag about this community, but here we are the player who really wanted to improve the nuance of the gameplay.
