Mirage 2000-5F at BR 14.0: Is its current placement still appropriate?

How is it not a joke when the M2K-5 beats all the planes I mentioned by a significant margin in pretty much every category that matters in air RB.

Hopefully they also include the super 530s on the next buff for sahr missiles

Beat is a bit of a strong word.

The margin that actually exists is of the kind Gaijin usually ignores.

But if it’s Magic 1, 2 or MICA Gaijin doesn’t like to lower planes even if the situation changed as it did for M2K-5.

Beat is not a strong word. The M2K-5F is a straight up better plane than the F-16AM, there is not even a contest. And the margin of which justifies the M2K-5F being a higher BR than the F-16AM.

The Gripen C and F-2A might beat the M2K-5F in dog fight flight performance, but the M2K-5F is again simply a better aircraft for air RB.

And in the compressed matchmaker we have they are still equals which is why M2K-5 would be reasonable at 13.7.

Which not make a difference for the other 13.7 anyway.
Same for 12.7 jets since they struggle against any Fox-3 carrier for the most part.

It would take the edge off with 14.3 and 14.7 lobbies for M2K-5.

No, if 1 plane is simply better than the others they are not equals. No matter the circumstances,

If you want to do more roflstomping in the M2K-5F with less competition, just say so straight. Don’t bs around it.

Problem: compression

Your solution: more compression

Compression only seems to be a problem when it negatively affects the planes he enjoys, when it positively affects those planes it’s suddenly fine.

Again I think it would not be much of a difference in the current situation F-16AM will face it anyway.
12.7 gets clapped by Fox-3 anyway.
But M2K-5 would be more interesting for many players again.

Thank you for proving the point I made above.

and you want them to now fight a tsar bomba level Fox-3 vs what they currently face

Dead is dead.

I don’t see how that happened. The comment above did not support what you said.

You:

Also you:

So like I said in the previous comment. Compression is only a problem for you when it negatively affects a plane you like. If it positively affects said plane it suddenly “makes the plane more interesting again”.

My only complaint with the 14.0 mirages is that they have the hardest stockgrind by far. You start with only 16 flares on a low tier platfrom with bad acceleration and turning

The chinese one is especially bad because it only has 1 tier 3 module that costs 75k RP before you can even start grinding the mica module which is also very grindy

No, because the plane you mentioned (F-16AM) does face it (M2K-5) anyway. So there is no change in compression.

If I had my way there would be no compression.

Nope.
The compression would only affect 12.7 which already is heavily compressed, the effect would be negligible.

But it would increase the number that could be seen by 13.0s, and 12.7s could now face MICA EMs. Both of which would now have even harder times in an uptier than they did previously.

That is the very definition of compression. If the Mirage can move down, can others also now move down?

Where does that end?

and to use your argument, Tornado F3 Late to 12.7, its fine because 11.7s already face Fox-3s from the F-14A.

The Mirage is one of the better performing 14.0s in the game, and easily stronger than anything else at 13.7. It is not over BRed, nor is it negatively affected by compression (like how the FA2 is struggling because there are various 13.3 aircraft forced to be 13.0)

Out of all the aircraft that could actually do with a BR reduction at the moment in the 13.0-14.7 bracket, the Mirage would be very low down on that list.

Here I do believe that the issue is that Fox-1 carriers have to compete with Fox-3 carriers.
Wether it is MICA, R-77(-1), any AIM-120 or even Derby is inconsequential.

Tornado ADV (with AIM-120) and F-4 with AIM-120 are very hard to balance due to compression.
They can’t go any lower though.

As I see it M2K-5 is in a uniquely perfect position to be downtiered becaue it usually faces 14.3 plus while 13.7 jets are just as capable for the most part.
Moving it to 13.7 wont have any major impact.

Gaijin often places aircraft with bigger capability gaps at the same Br.

The major issue is of course compression as well as the overlap of Fox-1 with Fox-3.

We need more Br steps to move all Fox-3 carriers up.
But that is on Gaijin not on M2K-5 being more advantageously placed at 13.7.

The Mirage 2000s at 14.0 are the best performing jets at 14.0, the only aircraft in fact to have a positive K/D or K/S

I fail to see a single reason why the Mirages need to move down at all, if anything the data would indicate they could almost do with the opposite, an increase in BR if it werent for the jump in capability at 14.3.

Out of everything currently at 14.0, the one that could actually do with moving down is the Finnish F-18C

Why?

What makes the Mirage special or unique? It has a solid FM, perfectly acceptable CM count, perfectly acceptable RWR, perfectly acceptable radar, and some of the best weapons in the game.

Yes, its called compression and it isnt a good thing.

Yes, that is called decompression.

So you want it OP?

Using that entire argument. M-Scan Typhoons to 14.0 because it would be more advantagously placed being the only M-Scan aircraft at 14.3 and thus its unfair.

Aircraft that ACTUALLY need moving down is stuff like the Jaguar GR1A, A and E at 10.7, Tonkas and JH-7As at 12.3, probably something like the Kurnass 2000 as well.

Those are aircraft actually struggling at their current BR and really need a BR reduction.

Something like the Sea Harrier FA2 really ought to move down to 12.7 as well, but the AMRAAM changes last major have made that more complicated.

The Mirage 2000s the 5th and 7th best performing Fox-3 aircraft between 13.0 and 14.3 in terms of K/D. Literally aircraft that are not struggling
