I am not saying M2K-5 is struggling I also did not create this topic.
No need to explain compression or decompression to me.
You do not need to keep asking me why I think M2K-5 could be moved to 13.7 either because I explained that multiple times already. It is not to different to other 13.7 jets. While we have 13.7 jets at 13.3.
We are not discussing any lower tier strike jet’s here but keep in mind that JH-7A are equipped with PL-5EII and the 13.0 one with PL-12 on top of that. If anything their Br would be increased.
Sea Harrier can not move down because of AIM-120.
Even F-5TH is 13.0.
Keeping Fox-3 at 13.0 and not lower is the most reasonable thing Gaijin has done in ages though the overlap due to compression still is the issue.
The only aircraft which would be negatively effected by M2K-5 at 13.7 are 12.7 jets.
Which is a non issue since due to compression Fox-3 in general is the issue gor them. Wether there are some MICA’s in that mix does not truly matter.
I would not say one bad placement necessarily justifies another but I explained sufficiently why I do believe that M2K-5 in particular could be moved down.
That MICA automatically makes a 13.7 placement impossible is nothing I can agree with in the current situation.
The issue is the mechanic, not a single missile.
M2K-5 is rather disadvanttaged facing 14.3 and 14.7 most of the time while 13.7 is more closely in it’s Br range. The only argument brought forth against that is that people believe MICA to be a wonderweapon.
