Yeah, however, I did qualify my post as “from perspective of Sim”, as starting new thread about this is sub optimal.
I even continued to lay out the reasons I feel like this from the perspective of plane metrics that are important in sim, like good radar.

What do you mean? In sim, 27SM and premmy Su30 are more or less identical when it comes to avionics, one just sits at criminally low BR.
Even then, doesnt sim matchmaker work drastically different to ARB? hence vehicles having their own sim BRs?
like sure, qualify your post as sim, but ultimately if what is being discussed is its ARB BR, you cant really argue with “well in sim…”
I understand that frustration, and belive me I try my best to doublecheck whenever topic is on ARB or Sim after few many experiences where I didnt.
Both are mishandled by average players who can’t work around the slightly worse rwr fovs and the mostly HDN only radar, resulting in mediocre global stats.
In Sim, situational awareness comes at premium.
Most of the fights in Sim are 1v1’s as people are more spread out, and engagement ranges starts from 60km+. There is also maps where you can rat like Afghanistan, Spain and Vietnam against mechanical radars.
N001 radar is annoyance in RB, its absolute handicap in Sim. SPO 15 is very big handicap. Small RWR angle on some Russian planes is also big handicap. Things like datalinks is big boon because you don’t have to use radar to IFF and so on.
If we can qualify RB as a brawl, the Sim is hide and seek.
5F suffers from bad radar and mediocre FM, so if it gets jumped and goes defensive, the boosted performance of both 120’s, PiLi12 and R77 diminishes its only advantage, the MICA.
You can no longer be secure in your knowledge that once you get to close ranges, your opponents have no answer, in fact, some Russian planes have over the shoulder IRST and 85 degree radars. All that at 0.3 BR lower.
So in terms of Sim, the 5F has been power crept very badly.

In perfect world, Sim BRs would be different, but Gaijin being Gaijin, we have 5F sitting in 14.0 and 13.0-13.7 is compressed to hell.

Agree 100%, the skill celling for 27SM is very high, as the avionics will not hold your hand.
And 30’s premmys are the same.
The fact that there is huge premmy spam does skew the global stats. However, using global stats in general is misleading, when we have objective data on FM and avionic capabilities of any given plane.
Quoting global stats for balancing is just “9000 billions manure flies agree, bullshit is yummy” way of balancing. You have to normalize the data among the A2A and air 2 ground players, and do many other statistical tricks, in short, there is lies, damn lies and statistics. If we move F2, Mig-29K J39C to 14.0, what would you think will happen to the win rates of of planes that can now only played once per sim BR rotation before they have to sit in Top tier MCM AESA hell and fight Typhoons and Su30MK2’s?
I don’t know answer for that, but I bet the win rates of 5F will change, when the pilots, who generally take a day off from playing other 13.7 planes to play 14.0 5F once-a-rotation, now have to split that attention between other good planes they probably like to fly and used to fly in 13.7 rotation days.
So please, Migoon, do us both a courtesy and stop using global stats as if its any kind of good proxy for actual raw performance when it comes to Air 2 Air jousts in Sim EC.

someone didnt use the N001 or N019 after the last update
N001 is still N001, it just has now vertical AND horizontal tracking. N019 was always good.

yeah, apart of n001 just refusing to work sometimes, nothing wrong with it.
Compare it to Hornets radar, or grippens, that also get HMD targeting cues, and so on.
5F’s avionics belong to 13.0-13.3 and FM is the same old. You can bonk 99% of Sim animals with it, sure, but you can do that in anything if you have thumbs, its not metric you use to rate the planes absolute performance.
What I am arguing is, that recent fox3 updates have either made many 13.7 planes 14.0 material, or 5F 13.7 material. Whichever happens, I don’t much care.
the Su-27SM has been 14.0 material for atleast the past 6 months
and the mirage isnt nearly as bad as you make it out to be
and it still has the best radar missile in the game
not a requirement even for 14.0 where there is the finnish hornet without an HMD
ontop of all that it is always stupid to move planes down in br since it will make the balance just worse

Had the best radar missile, now its more of a fidget spinner 20/80 of the time and the airframe belongs to museum.
That whole planes shtick was a MICA dispenser exstrodinair at 14.0, and now you have Netanyahu mobyles like Mig-29K and J39C’s, F16C with new missiles that do well enough to negate most of advantages that MICA gave you, namely the disgusting offbore pull… and all of those airframes will, in hands of equally skilled pilot, clown on M2K’s FM.
The whole plane was carried with MICA’s extraordinary short range performance. That is no longer extraordinary.

Well, its a plane with 12.3-7 FM, and HMS from same BR’s, its saving grace is MAWS. Its radar belong to museum and it cant abuse micas with over the shoulder radar or IRST so it has to point nose on to get a tone…
Where did I move my goal post from my original post, when I wrote that MICA’s no longer offer good enough performance gap to rest of buffed Fox3’s to justify it sitting at 14.0 when most other Bibi mobyles sit at 13.7
