i mean if ur tank is equipped with a good side armour and a unpenetrateable turret cheeks and buff the armour on it’s turret neck, it would a big difference since every abrams is getting one shot while the russians and germans and sweden rolling around unstopable and even if u shoot them to the sides or even turret sides it would survive and easily roll it’s turret and one shot u like if u were made from plastic, abrams hull is a joke while getting penetrated easily with 3bm46 and the shell goes through kills ur drives loader, gunner, engine, and even the shell goes out if there’s another abrams behind u it would certainly die bcz abrams isn’t modeled right while u shoot a russian tank ur shell magicaly disapear as if there’s a black hole eating ur shells and nothing goes in
Even though USA mains might be bad at playing the tank and using it to it’s fullest potential,while russians can hold W and easily get kills, u gotta hide and use ur skills to get a few kills, it’s sad to see the most powerful army in the world and most famous and known tank in the world getting easily killed, while other nations get more powerful stuff and more useful modifications, USA gets mine protection, if they’re gonna add them later, they should consider add trophy system to add more value to the abrams tanks, it’s like gaijin hates america since it just copy and paste the whole tech tree with no add-on armour to any other tanks of it’s tech tree.
Spall liners won’t magically increase the player’s skill or winrate, the Abrams is the third, best top tier tank in the game. It has top tier mobility, armor and shell.
Have you ever considered the fact that a likely reason why Russian players can get away at times with holding W is because American players are so bad at the game. I myself have done it in order to catch my opponent off guard as going in quickly makes you harder to deal with at times, the only other reason is that they have ERA with protection against kinetic rounds, yet even then unless I hit said ERA it isn’t a really serious issue and in my experience you can’t pull that off very easily with a T-90 or T-72 as they are still slow enough that I can easily respond to them not to mention for them its a one way trip since if you screw up you are very dead having a longer reload and no reverse speed so it’s only really viable in the T-80. At the same time you however do not need a Russian tank to do it, as I have done the same sort of thing with the Type 10, ZTZ-99A, and in fact the Abrams as well, and all you need is the ability to know what you are doing and preferably teammates who can do the same.
Also why are you even bothering to mention turret cheeks when for really any top tier MBT unless its Italian is the last spot you ever want to shoot as that is always where the most armor is, the T-90M is equally incapable of going through the turret cheek of a M1A2 as it is for the M1A2 against the T-90M. Oh and if you look outside of the T-90M then I am sorry to say but you are very much wrong as the T-80BVM and T-72B3 actually have terrible turret protection, now this is not to say they don’t stop anything but the weakness their is that they use older turrets so the only thing keeping them from being a constant issue is said ERA, otherwise you can penetrate their turret cheeks with M829A2 which I have taken advantage of quite a bit especially since their are gaps it doest cover so you don’t even need to shoot off the ERA, not to mention they are particular vulnerable as you can put a APFSDS round into their turret roofs and knockout a crew member and the breach while they are incapable or responding.
Now if you ask me perhaps being the “most famous and known” mbt in the world doesn’t in fact do the Abrams any favors in the game, and if anything makes it in fact worse. For one in terms of the game that is just asking for people to believe the vehicle is even more capable and better than it actually is so it attracts far more unskilled players, and you can say something similar to real life. Just because it is “most famous and known” doesn’t mean a thing in practice as the Abrams isn’t in real life some all invincible beast.
Lastly while yes they could have given the SEPV2 trophy it would honestly have just been better to make it a modification than forced like the TUSK, since Trophy isn’t actually going to make the SEPV2 much better than it already is since against tanks it won’t counter any APFSDS and only would be of use against helicopters, IFV’s and ATGM carriers (Which you might not see that many) and the occasional idiot taking ATGM’s in their tank when they don’t need to.
This is caused solely by the USA playerbase (as well as the Clickbait/KVT/Wolfpack being sold as top tier premiums) and not because the USA as a nation is not just as competitive with the rest (its in fact far better than most of the nations available)
They already heavily buffed the abrams with the reload buff. They need other fixes too but I’m not holding my breath gaijin will fix them in those ways. The reload buff did help a ton though.
I take it you haven’t done any research on M829A3 and what it did? This would solve nothing.
It increases survivability by a small margin which gives players a saving grace from time to time, from my own experience, it only comes in clutch with side shots where the spall liner saves 1 or 2 crew members. But it’s no game changer, and most of the time good positioning and shot placement is more important.
the job of the M829A3 is to defeat the russians and specially Kontakt-5 armour, it would make a big difference in penetrating those since their hull is impossible to pen untill u shoot their weakspots which sometimes can be tricky u can hit fuel tanks and driver but he can still be alive.
it do not add any value to the tank, it just makes it more fat, as if the abrams isn’t fat at all after adding the Tusk on it and u don’t have the choice to remove it anyways
If you cant make a tank with a 5s reload and good survivability work then its an unnironic skill issue, M829A2 is perfectly fine and is one of the higher pen rounds at toptier anyway, this just seems like another case of american players not being able to use clearly good vehicles and then whining for a buff as usual

It’s true that new tanks equipped with spall liners have superior survivability, but plenty of high tier MBTs do not feature spall liners, and out of the vehicles not equipped with it the M1’s have the best survivability.
The M1’s are extremely solid tanks, and acting as though they aren’t is more indicative of a lack of skill & knowledge on the part of the players.
