LMFAO XDD i can relate to that too

Already covered this in other threads, I do like Russian planes, I play Russian planes, I ground the entire Russian air tree for the MiG-29 and Su-27 specifically, but russian players habit of acting like russian tech is the second coming of christ is pretty annoying.

The fact you said stuff like

and

lead to me needing to correct you because you were feeding false information to someone regarding the state of aircrafts and their depictions in-game, and thats no bueno imo, and its not like anyone else in this thread would correct you either.

I misunderstood Myth.

My bad broski! I just did not see anyone get upset about why the tomcat is so good (today, as they do exist), so I thought u were referring to me.

I only saw someone use the Tomcat as point of reference because how good it is compared to the Mig29, right? Not that its overperforming. So, I was confused and trigger happy.

@MythicPi you do not think so? The F-14B on 30min fuel is infinitely better than a SMT on 20 min fuel?

I can even go vertical all day with the Fulcrum and SMT in the F-14B.

The two mighty GE-F110s are not its saving grace? Total combined thrust of 32,860kgf?

If anything I said was incorrect please do show, I am all about improving and learning.

SMT has better TWR even if both are at 30min

Like I said, the F-14 produces an ungodly amount of lift, almost 2x more relative to weight compared to the MiG-29, likely more than 2x relative to weight when flaps are considered. Couple that a better aspect ratio from the swing wing. The TWR isn’t the reason it can keep up, and its not overperforming in the TWR regime either.

I agree as it should, but bro the SMT is not performing comparable with 30 not even close. Of course imo.

It does, but only 30% lift comes from its wings.

Yes it has LERX technology on board clearly as well, but it still got them baby wings variable swept wings to maintain lift and delay the stall in high angles of attack. It’s a fighter (a damn good one) more designed focused on operations at high Mach numbers.

The F-14 also lacks a blended wing body quite like that of the F-16 and Mig29. I do not believe it has better lift qualities over the Fulcrum. But I respect your opinion as I know you just do not randomly make stuff up. So if you can share more because I never heard that either.

This is both true and false at the same time. The fact is that the F-18 has no limit on the angle of attack. And his second slide is Clift, about like the MiG-29

Compare the wing load, not just T/W

Well, many aircraft do not have a “limit” of alpha. It’s the point of stall is what’s relevant. I can pull alpha for days in aircraft but immediately stall out, lose control and die.

Where do the tables come from?

The judge of this table did not give the MiG-29 thrust

According to this formula, we take the reference thrust of the engine on the stand. And we calculate according to the changes in total pressure

Here is the characteristic of losses in the air intake
8300kgfx0.85=7055kgf When the air intake is closed
8300x0.92= 7636 kgf When open

I am too American to read the math on this @BBCRF but I know I can trust you enough to take your word.

I just cant read these graphs in general :P

Assuming the MiG-29 is missing thrust, is it missing thrust across the entire flight envelope or is it just missing at low speed?

I feel if it’s missing thrust and its added to such a large amount, then we will just end up with an overperforming mig29.

why dont you try to make a bug report with your sources? just asking

LOL.

At high Mach I think it’s good.

Just in the knife fight where 1:1 thrust matters most. From 0-900kph
