Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

i dont think that we would see the 27ep in the br range of the F-14

wouldnt they be avaliable for pretty much most r27et carriers ?

no since firing the 27ep is a bit more complex than firing a 27et

bc your plane needs to be able to designate a radar to target and not every plane carring the 27et has the avionics for that

so its not as simple as “27(e)p is compatible with everything that has the 27(e)t”

and well ontop of that, gaijin might just say that certain jets wont get it due to balancing

as far as i know, all mig-29 from 9-12/13s onwards can use r27ep

Shh, let me cope

Markovsky my beloved.

I believe if they’re equipped with a subvariant of BZPP-4 they can.

However cannot without said improvement.

Man Fulcrum’s flight model is so pathetic its not even funny at this point.

I just got out from a match where i did dogfight with fully spaded Mig29M in my half baked J15T, despite my all disadvantages (such as lacking new engine , cover , airframe while still carrying at least 4 missiles) i managed to beat him with moderate effort.

Before i killed him he has basically stalled and falling out of sky, mind you this one suppose to be best Mig29 version we have in game right now…

it has a worse FM than the 9.12

That’s why i said ‘‘suppose’’ to.

It took them more than 2 years with tons of reports to make a good fm for the flanker, i believe they will improve the mig29 at some point but being the “secondary” option for russian top tier i don’t expect it anytime soon.

With the community’s overwhelming preference for the su-27 there’s just no reason for them to worry about the mig29, unfortunately…

This is really sad cuz i kinda waited for its addition for a long time lol

Same, 29M is my favorite Fulcrum actually.

Poor guy tried to kill me with R-73 HOBS shot, first his missile failed him then his plane did.

That thing suppose to beat the shit out of me considering he was spaded and I was not while carrying missiles.

It’s only funny because the MiG-29 is already overperforming

and now test the str ingame and put it also in that chart

Almost like I tested it to make sure it’s at least close to the values that statshark spits out.

It’s also overperforming in energy retention it should bleed off speed more quickly.

You 100% did not test it at all.

Case and point is that Statshark will indicate 18.5 degrees per second at 500kph.
WTRTI will indicate 17.0 degrees per second for the same 500kph.

Wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t even test it correctly

You’re also pulling 17 a seconds and still have 500 fps in Sep indicating it’s still accelerating lmao

Also at the same speed the real thing would only be doing a hair over 15 a second too so you’re point is pointless.

Another case of you not being able to read. Many such cases to be honest.

Feet / Minute.

You’d have to divide the value by 60 to convert to feet per second.

It’s 8.3 feet per second. For all intents and purposes it is a steady state turn. There isn’t finite enough control in trim increments to get down to 0 feet per second on any consistent basis.

You would know this if you actually tested. But also I’ve largely already covered this in my video on the MiG-29 and it’s flight model.

Great and that still proves overperformance

By a large margin at that

It also underperforms by large margins as well. But this is old news for anyone that has paid the slightest bit of attention.
