MiG-35S with Byelka-29 and RD-43s.

wing tip mounts for weapons + new ECM and CMs. And then someone might buy the MiG-35 finally

“New CMs”

Still 2x16

Oh idr if this was posted above but, seems like Kh-38M finally has it’s first foreign operator, saying I’m not mis-IDing it.

wait, that could be peak

This is not the same airframe as I was talking about but yes it exists… On the combat incapable aerodynamics testbed/Airshow toy.

secondary source gives thrust of 7700n for r-73 but idk how accurate that is…

yeah you’re right, probably should’ve made sure i said N and not Kn, kn is ridiculous lmao

Gaijin uses moscow aviation institute papers directly from vympel for data on R-27 and R-73, I assure you they are accurate for the most part.

i mean considering they couldn’t get as something as simple as the gimbal limit for r-27r right after all these years I sincerely doubt it.

(its 60 degrees irl and not 55, 55 is gimbal limit after launch for r-27et/t)

Dawg egypt had it this entire time…

Have they? I can’t recall them ever being shown off besides on the desert-schemed demo w/ mockups but those aren’t even live ones…

Gaijin gets things wrong all the time even when they have numerous sources on things, I am not sure why this is surprising to you. Another thing to note is that this was such an inconsequential change they probably did see it and just overlooked it in the grand scheme of things.

They did not obtain the vympel docs until later, so the initial versions of the missile were tailored to fit existing information they had at the time.
