tldr for the common folk?

i think it is talking about using the r-73 for A2G

It’s from the properly old days talking about MiG-35’s planned A2G stores.

Things like KAB-1500L/Kr and 3M-14AE (A smaller air launched version of 3M-54 Kalibr), however neither made it onto the thing since them and the proposal for 5 wing hardpoints was scrapped.

How on Earth they even though on fitting 5 hardpoints under wings?.. (well, maybe a wingtip could do, but still)

ah ok, well likely not engough place with all the rest

Nope, not on the wingtips, just dreams and hope.

(And very concerning lack of space, cough cough those R-77’s fins)

I mean with ejector launchers it would be possible

Good lord… I feel bad for that MiG…

Well. If they run out of space under the wing…

Just… No…

Mikoyan, give me wingtop mounted R-77s or give me death.

I have a feeling Yakovlew would do something like this if they did not, effectively, implode

MiG-35S with Byelka-29 and RD-43s.

wing tip mounts for weapons + new ECM and CMs. And then someone might buy the MiG-35 finally

“New CMs”
