Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

What about with the R-40TD’s, I haven’t managed to get in range enough to test them.

i launched 2, dude just dumped enture Su-27 fleet worth of flares

Solar flare ahh move

so you have to use the su15 tactic then

ram the guy, if missiles arent working

smash into him at mach2

probably yeah, i was just sligly too slow and low to intercept in time. Also would be interesting to try new anti-rad missiles on that thing

wont work bc the b52 and tu95 dont have radars

anti rad missiles currently can only lock onto radars

can it lock on fighter radars tho? Or they are too weak to register?

They do, I’ve locked on F-4’s and F-15’s so many times with the KH-58, never shot at them tho.

yes they can

neat, shame that it’s probably useless, they ain’t the most maneuverable missiles and they require target to pretty much fly in a straight line to hit.

What variant of fulcrum is this chart for?

IMG_0090

95% it’s about 9.12. 9.13 was never exported

I see.

What do you mean 95%

Probability. I’ll still give it a 5% margin of me being wrong about this.

I see lol

Russian charts are so goofy they are using indicated kph not true velocity

A MiG-29 with just 1500kg of fuel will only pull 25 ish D/S instantaneous?

thats the soft limit through the mechanical fcs

the pilot can pull through it, if he is strong enough
