Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

information on seekerhead that is reportable, crafting up a report

life drag ratios, acceleration charts, blah blah

interesting, i dont remember the german manual contain it
this can be most significant report, but dev can aswer that PA is the main source and reject info

this is a balance value, like rcs

it same as this?

yeah I think so, looks like the same curve

no it’s gimbal limit. r-27 has launch limit of 50 degrees and gimbal limit of 60 but in game its gimbal limit is 55 degrees which is r-27et/t gimbal limit
image
I think devs confused gimbal limit between r-27et and r-27er

currently 55 degrees not 60

Anything potentially useable in terms of bleed rates while turning? I’m so hung up on how they did the fulcrum fm dirty.

Idk, I haven’t gone through the flight performance part of it much.
I would assume that it’s just copy paste aerodynamics manual

table of contents

Here’s a chart for dive recovery similar to the one that got the su-27 lift buffed/made it severely overperform lol

What this would do is affect bleed rates when pulling hard.
I’ll probably test it later

only at certain speeds, you are saying it like Flankers overperform at every single metrics

“Only at certain speeds” and it’s 99 percent of the regime that people play (above 800 kph)

It has the high speed sustained turn rate of both the t-10 prototype and the low speed sustained turn rate of production su-27sk.

Also it should compress 4x harder at high speeds than it does rn like the mig-29 due to not having enough hydraulic pressure. Basically Impossible for the plane roll at high speed irl

Fantasy ahh fm though it’s not special in that regard

Isn’t it the same as Russian one

I don’t have access to my computer rn that has all the files but I would assume it’s the same.

That would be huge if similar discrepancies exist and can be proved using it. Seems like the major area of issue is primarily the bleed rate induced when trying to pull hard particularly at lower speeds. Might try to look into testing it myself as well. Thanks!

Should be the German file in here, page 83 or 4/35 by number.

Called: Flugzeug MiG-29 Betrieb und Steuertechnik (1).

Also contains all of my declassified mig-29 docs.

its not

its a pilot manual with combat usage

It’s the exact same as the Yugoslavian one as well but in German.

My guess is that these are all the same doc but just translated for different nations
