The worst part is that the MiG-29K we have in-game is supposed to be the Russian domestic Project 9-41R (MiG-29KR), but Gaijin completely butchered it by copy-pasting the limitations of the Indian Project 9-41, which 99% of people keep bringing up in discussions without knowing the difference (and i’m still wondering how did the moderator even accepted the bug report which is literally reporting the x6 RVV-AE / x8 R-73E as a loadout for the 9-41R when we all know that the R-73"E" stands for export and that’s literally the exported 9-41 loadout🤦🏻♂️).
It is well-documented that the domestic 9-41R can utilize the AKU-170 ejector racks on 8 out of its 9 hardpoints, meaning it is physically and electronically capable of carrying 8x R-77-1s. Instead, Gaijin didn’t just deny its realistic 8x R-77-1 loadout from the start; they went a step further and actively nerfed its flight model and restricted it to just 6x baseline outdated R-77s. They literally took the worst aspects of an old export brochure and slapped them onto a 2013+ domestic airframe.
Honestly, trying to fix this via official bug reports is been a waste of time. Every single piece of evidence proving this point gets systematically ignored and closed.
I genuinely don’t know what the devs and part of the community have against the MiG-29 family. At this point, when the MiG-35 finally drops, I fully expect them to nerf it down to 6x R-77-1s, with no R-37M, no R-77M, and probably no AESA radar either (when and if these two modern missiles will ever be added for the Su-57 and MiG-31). Kh-31P has such a massive loft right now that it is almost completely unusable from closer than 20km lmao. It just overshoots completely or lofts so hard that target goes outside of the seeker gimbal
su-27sm is almost equal to 14.0 jets minus avionics. and also considering how much anti-russian bias we have in air battles except 13.+, it’s normal to me

How is it going to be used IG? Are you gonna pick the ARM variant against specific radars AKA HORDE OF F14 and just launch them essentially just picking arms and hoping enemy has suitable radar?

ARMs don’t lock airborne radars right now, only ground ones. And yes, with Russian ARMs you will have to pick the correct one for the enemy radar
