This airframe will not be able to hold itself against 4th gen fighters, have you guys learned nothing from F4F ICE and Tornado F3 Late?

As much as i like to see this version of Mig-23 we all know its gonna be struggle bus due to its flight performance.
Its actually Better than F4F and Tornado but result will not be much different.

While I agree that it would mostly struggle the flight performance between the MLD and the F4F/Tornado is gigantic. The MLD was not hit nearly as hard as the other MiG-23s, and even if it got nerfed by 12% like the other two should, it would still outrate the F-14A when comparable fuel time is selected (9 min on MiG-23 is around 20 min on F-14A when in full AB). If the MiG-23s radar would ever get fixed the MLD would need to go up by quite a bit in br.
I do that in the MLD right now. It has been since the F-14 came to the game.

It’s not absurd, it would be still very much on the lower side of flight performance at top tier. Ratefighting is not everything
Yea please do it against F-15/16,J-10 and Jas-39, against any pilot who has little bit brain activity, you will become dead meat.

Again - I’ve had no issues dogfighting the gen4s in it. If you’re gonna lose the fight in the MLD you’ll also likely lose it in the Su-27. Neither is well suited for combat at the BR.
Though it’s rare you need to dogfight now anyway. The ordnance upgrade is the only necessary piece and would play similarly to the J-8F which I find quite fun to play personally.

Recent incident with Gunjob proves this really well, as for your “airframe doesnt matter” claim, its compeletly lie.
You only perform good on J8F is due to bein 13.0 which makes it see 12.0 mm regurarly, i do the same thing with JAS39A and Mig29G cause i like bullying Tomcat abusers.
And your “actual” top Tier Service record proves my point, you’re not that guy.
So the J-8F does fine at 13.0 why wouldn’t the MLD?

Against any competetent JAS39A and Mig-29G pilot J8F becomes dead meat, you know this pretty Well but you like to ignore it cause it doesnt fit in your ego.

Dogfighting isn’t everything. Su-27 climbs a lot faster than the MiG-23. The one thing the MIG-23 would be very good at is high altitude speed, problem is it takes too long to reach 10000m.
MiG-23 also doesn’t turn well enough at high speed to quickly notch (well it can but with wing closed it bleeds to much speed). It’s just much harder to perform in it compared to other aircraft.
Yeah but J8F is useless in up tiers, it kinda proves the point that against 4 (almost 4.5) gen fighters the MiG-23 would struggle a lot.
Side note: looking at the engine manual from the other thread I think most people (me included), where taking far too much fuel on the flanker. At 600kph 13 min on the flanker is equal to a whopping 21min on the F-16C, and with those fuel loads the fight is very much viable.
