These radars have their own documentation in Polish. And it was she who became the basis for bringing all the MiG-23 radars to their current state. Therefore, I emphasize that radars of later versions must be configured in accordance with the documentation for the Saphir-23MLA radar

Today they fixed the radar bug that I mentioned earlier, when the tilt of the aircraft was taken into account for MPI mode, rather than the tilt of the radar antenna.
Remember tho, the MiG-23ML and MLA have different radars.
The ML had simply the RP-23ML, meanwhile the MLA had the RP-23MLA, or the N003.
The RP-23ML wasn’t called N003
Soviet late ML (iz.23-16/iz.23-12A from 1978) actually should have RP-23MLA Safír-23MLA/N006 Ametist radar.

This is because the MiG-23MLA wasn’t really a thing exactly, Soviet manuals refer to the MiG-23MLA as just MiG-23ML but with designation 23-12A, which is the MiG-23MLA.
MiG-23ML is simply just 23-12, also the only “ML” that got the N006, is the MiG-23P or the designation 23-14, which is a different radar from the RP-23MLA or N003.
Anyone know if the MTI mode is realistic? It’s horrible and isn’t adjusted with the radar dish in game.
MLA is real regardless, includes the upgraded radar, gun sight, and other features.
Standard “ML” does not have the ASP-17ML gun sight, for example.

As I was told, the MPI filter on this radar works by comparing the current signal with the previous one. If there is no interference from the ground or other radio contrast structures in the cell where the previous scan data is stored, filtering will not work. And since clouds in the game don’t interfere with radar operation, BS modes in the game can’t work either.
So theoretically if clouds would interfere with radar so it would work only if there are those clouds? In clear weather it would not work anyway because it would have nothing to compare it to?
