MiG-31 needs to be added

And also, how did this go from the MiG-31 to Chornobyl?

Su-27M would be an easier fix

A guy comparing wikipedia to the USSR’s report on Chernobyl.

Someone called me?

This guy.

I make my own judgements, I wouldn’t let people’s opinions sway me unless they are factually and universally correct and even then I can only speak for myself, if I want to believe in something I will, if not then no biggie

Eh, well, I said my two cents.

15 minutes is not nearly enough to form a logical opinion on a show with a total run time of around 5 hours.

Only reason I mentioned wikipedia is because its the only closest source I can pull up, if anyone can find accurate declassified sources of the R-37’s maximum speed then they’re more than welcome to link it

Tried to watch it years ago, decided to stop and forgot about it, and I said “apparently” the show isn’t accurate in some areas and for me personally I don’t care, its just that I forgot to watch Chernobyl since probably at the time I was busy with other things, but in recent times I have watched other series that were boring in some seasons but nonetheless still watched the whole thing, if I ever do get the chance I’ll give Chernobyl another go

Apparently the show actually goes over in a lot of detail the writings of Valery Legasov

is there a book about Chernobyl? where can I find and read it?

I don’t necessarily not believe it, but I definitely feel the claim is more exaggerated… This has been proven in history to be a classic Russian move.

There are no official sources stating anything that I know of, therefor it is an unknown.

He made audio tapes of everything that in fact actually happened. Managed to smuggle them to another scientist under the KGBs nose. Shortly after he did so he sadly took his own life, potentially due to his feeling of guilt over not being able to help some people more.

The Legasov Tapes

The TV show was heavily based on these tapes, as well as the stories of the wives of the fire fighters who died of ARS.

Will give it a listen, thanks

but yeah I think we can agree Russia needs a dedicated 14.0 aircraft(s) that will have a good opportunity at competing with the EFT and Rafale even if it’s not neck on neck, I think same can go for Sweden and China so top tier can be a lot less 1 sided so that players are given a wider choice of somewhat equal aircraft in terms of capability

and we need a higher BR limit so that the F-16, Su-27 and Gripen can compete in their own sphere without being dominated by the bigger brothers

I do agree yes from a gameplay stand point. However after the fall of the USSR the Russians did not really have the same ability to developed and spend on the military as they did before. They are currently very far behind technologically.

Its more a realistic versus gameplay issue. Gaijin wants to keep the realistic vehicles aspect but are introducing modern vehicles designed to simply be better than anything else. The EFT is a very young airframe and is still undergoing upgrades. We don’t even have a lot of important information regarding it as it is still classified. You could argue that It shouldn’t even be in the game yet if realism was the be all end all as we have no proof really.

A bit of a sticky situation but its up to Gaijin at the end of the day, lets just see if the Su-30 can be at least more bearable than the Su-27 if you’re going up against the top dogs.

I found myself being mixed with the Su-27SM, and since I recently got the F-15E I’ve essentially enjoyed myself by the “if you can’t beat them, join them” philosophy, I am halfway through the german eurofighter but right now I’m having lots of fun with the F-15E

I hope so for those who play the USSR yes.

as long as it isnt a dogfighting and being used as bnz and BVR combat plane it should be fine

This is precisely why we’re never going to see the R-37M in the game. It’s wildly unbalanced, and it’ll make people cry about accuracy if they artificially nerf it. Just avoid it altogether by avoiding missiles like that until most nations have one.
