Mig-29G at 13.0

Hello me again try to play them in sim battles and in good br trust me you are gonna love them

Mog29g at 13.0 in sim is pure torture mobile

Nope is like a good flanker in sim air

hell no, R-73 and R-27ER, 11.7 players are already fairly stomped by AIM-9M and AIM-7M facing 2 3rd Gen SARH missiles.
it’s fairly balanced at 13.0, tho it has awful radar and should get a better one (basically MiG-29A at 13.0 with R-73).

Making compression worse solves nothing.

Move the F-15s back to 13.0
Move the Su-33 and Su-27 up to 13.3
Move the Premium Su-30s up to 13.7

etc etc etc

There is no other solution.

War Thunder players complain about compression then majority vote to move a relatively underperforming vehicle down instead of the relatively overperfoming vehicles up smh

The compression has just gotten too severe. The game is pretty much unplayable from 12.3 to 13.3 due to under br’d premiums ruining the matchmaker. Idk. Mig 29g and 9.13 should probably just be 12.7, which leaves room for things like mig29n to slip down to 13.0 where it belongs. Only reason it cant go down is because of these two planes.

No.

Move the Su-30s up to 13.7, keep the mig29s where they are, and give the 12.7 ones R-73s/R-27Rs.

Edit: ideally we would have 12.7-13.0 decompressed into 12.7-13.7, but gaijin seems adamant on not decompressing.

While i’m down for the historical realism aspect, The su30’s should move up. The su27 is still the same plane but with a better fm and more missiles. The mig29 with its current fm and loadouts are probably fine at 12.7 is the f15a is 12.7. The only reason they apparently can’t be 12.7 is the r73 which would be fine at 12.7, just like 9m has been for ages. Honestly though, Smin said they’re never removing the R27er from the 12.7 migs anyway, on “technical compatibility” grounds. Though we both seem to agree that decompression is the real only answer here, the rest are just trying to make the best of a poor situation.

I hate that they’re putting a plane in an objectively worse spot because of muh technical compatibility.

It is equivalent to or worse than the F-15A, but the F-15A is also undertiered at 12.7 and should be 13.0.

I was once a huge advocate for decompression, the whole range of 11.7-13.7 being one of my biggest concerns for it. However, as time went on, and Gaijin deliberately broke 13.3 with both premium Su-30s (and the BMPT disaster on ground as a sidenote), I am left to believe that the development team actually endorses compression, and even favors recompression if needed instead of decompressing, which is only done when there’s a new tech addition or a new mechanic that pushes the meta further up.

Realistically, there’s a significant amount of things that should go up at 13.0, 13.3 and a couple of 13.7s, but that’s not happening short term and before July like, at all. Hence my shift on stance about recompressing some stuff until Gaijin actually decides they’ve milked their premium flankers enough.

And I know I’m not defending the virtuous position or the politically correct stance at all, but each day that passes where Gaijin doesn’t raise the top tier to 15.0 or even 15.3, the more I’m convinced they don’t care about a healthy matchmaker given the strengths and weaknesses of each plane at the areas we’ve been discussing throughout many threads now.

Don’t be jaded.

The premium Su-30 situation is merely greed.

I don’t think Gaijin puts recompression with some nefarious intent. The F-15A/J/Baz situation is probably a lop-sided descision that slipped the scrutiny. Even Defyn endorsed it because F-15 couldn’t be helped any other way. They just have to reverse it in the next decompression that would also give it breathing room from above.

I mean, I’d be cynical if I said that it is a grand bias masterplan on the way.

Its a simple reality: Gaijin loves compression along FOTM as it shifts the grind from nation to nation. And if the benefited is a premium vehicle, it holds all the checks to be compressed and to make the rest suffer under it. It happened with the 12.7 Hornets, its happening with the premium 13.3s and it’ll happen with the next premium ARH powercreep.

Is it really lop-sided/biased/unfair if it couldn’t be helped any other way? If Gaijin opposes to further decompression amid fears of longer queue times, can we truly do something about it? It’s their call after all, and they’ve proven it again and again with even criminally under br’d vehicles, and only reacting weeks later —at best—.

And I’d agree if we also see a major decompression of 13.0/13.3 and even some 13.7s. Before that, the idea of the F-15A/J/Baz are destroying downtiers and that they must go back to 13.0 without anything happening before it is just fanciful.

max BR to 15.0, EVERY ARH plane goes up 1 br step, same result for the F-15 and everything else from 11.7 to 12.7 doesn’t have to pay for it.

  1. Major Decompression
