Mig-29G at 13.0

I’d like to get your opinion on the MiG-29G’s placement at 13.0. Considering the Su-33/J-11 are at the same BR and all F-15As are at 12.7—despite having better or similar loadouts (AIM-9M/AAM-3) and higher missile counts—it feels unbalanced. I’m not asking for more compression, but a fair re-evaluation of its BR.

Changes you would like to see
  • Su-33/J-11 go to 13.3
  • Mig-29G Staying at 13.0
  • Mig-29G to 12.7
  • Nothing happens Germany suffers

MIG29 on 12.7 would be the best thing that happend in a while

+1 for BR decompression, keeping the MiG-29G at 13.0, but moving the Flankers an their equivalents up to 13.3 and moving every 13.3+ plane up by 0.3.

However, if the F-15A can be 12.7, I don’t see how an arguably worse plane can also be 12.7. However I’d rather both be 13.0 in order to not compress the game more.

Good point, but the MiG-29 (9-12) is at the same BR as the F-15A, which doesn’t make much sense considering the F-15 has AIM-9Ms and AAM-3s. The only things the MiG has going for it are the HMD and the R-27ERs.

no point in grinding the mig line lmao

Do you realize that those “small” advantages you’re talking about basically turn every aircraft equipped with AIM-7 into a joke from early game all the way to mid game?

AIM-9M and R-73 have different IRCCM systems, which means these two missiles perform well under different conditions. It’s not a case of the R-73 being better than the AIM-9M or vice versa.

If you play the way I do — avoiding dogfights unless it’s absolutely forced into a 1v1 at the endgame — then the MiG-29G is only worse than the F-15A in terms of RWR.

the consequences of F-15A moving to 12.7 have been a disaster for entiriety of 11.7-12.7 bracket.

I dont like that MiG-29G sits at the exact same BR as Su-33/Su-27, but good lord we dont need to start this domino effect that will lead to more compression than usual.

So suppose we move MiG-29G down to 12.7. But now standard MiG-29 with only R-60s is at 12.7, lets move it to 12.3. But now X plane is at the same BR as MiG-29, lets move it to 12.0. But now Y plane is at the same BR as X plane, lets move it down to 11.7…

No thanks.

F-15A should have never been moved to 12.7.

We should be moving stuff up.

Yeah, but it’s just a question of fairness—it can’t stay at the same BR as the Su-33/J-11, that’s just not balanced. Suggesting 12.7 was simply an option to see what people think about it.

I see your point, and I think both aircraft (F-15J and MiG-29G) are fine at 13.0. For me, the main problem is simply the Su-33 being at the same BR as the MiG-29G.
These are my own stats, which obviously aren’t comparable to global averages, but for me, the difference is like night and day.

From the moment it was introduced, the F-15A was never on the same level as the Su-27/Su-33 in ARB. Being pushed down to 12.7 is simply the result of long-term compression that ruined its performance stats.

su-27/su-33 would go to 13.3 in a perfect world but that’s never happening without decompression.
I’d rather mig-29g stay where it is rn, just so that it’s not another f-15 situation.
But at the same time, becuase the f-15 moved down, idrc if the mig-29g moves down as well atp,
might as well compress the entire game more

should stay at 13.0 event tho its worse than like 90% of 13.0s, F-15A moving down to 12.7 was already silly enough and we dont need to make the BRs worse
