MiG-29 with R73 and R27R instead of the R27ER

R-73 on 9.12/9.13 is definitely more historical than R-27ER. I support R-73. Rather I will have 6 good missiles than only 2.

If someone can poke holes in your foundation, build a better foundation.

Is your entire purpose revolve around poking holes on good and useful forum threads? Find something better to do.

Well, I’d prefer to see great statements that I disagree and agree with.
Seeing statements I agree or disagree with that have a poor foundation isn’t an enjoyable read.

Am I expecting too much? I don’t think so.

Idk what are you all talking about but go back to the topic.

That’s what I was trying to say, but apparently he is here to “Poke Holes”

From MiG-23MLD everything should have R-73.

anything that can carry it, and will be balanced

Romania bought 4 of their 9-12 from Russia in 1992-1993 and 1 9-13 from Moldova in 1992.
Plus Russia gave Hungary 28 MiG-29 to pay off the debt (from 1993), 13 of these planes were also overhauled in Russia in 2007-2008.
So theoretically these 2 countries could receive R-27ERs, especially Hungary.

Lemme preface this by saying I don’t really have an opinion on the matter, it would probably be best for gaijin to conduct a vote like the APHE to make sure

That being said don’t write with AI

Meh, all those “AI detection” websites seem to pull numbers out of their ass so I wouldn’t put too much stock into them.

I’m not paying for one of the good ones so who knows, it doesn’t really read like a human wrote it though :/

No I didn’t use AI, most of those website will flag anything with good grammar and punctuation and all of that stuff as AI. I actually used help from some people making this like @iulian29-67 who told me to edit and add some stuff in to not make the post too “controversial” or anything. But thanks for the compliment, I guess writing professionally really is a skill nowadays

To add on, chatGPT Gemini or any other AI doesn’t know about the BR rating or anything else especially load-outs because it automatically thinks that the migs already have r73s from other sources and also since they are based on data from the 2022’s and earlier dates.

I would like to see r-73 next to my R27 Er that would be nice, F-15a at 13.0 watch out. I mean if Americans get Fakour, the best long range missile at 12.3br then why cant the basic 29s have r-73s?

That would be pretty unbalanced imo

Well is the Aim 9m balanced when fighting 12.3s and 12.7s? Is Fakour and R-27R vs 11.3 balanced?

We need some retribution, hahaha, Imagine R27 Er at 6km range vs F-15a then r-73 znnn during climbs and turns, you will end up with why are you running moments.

Jokes aside, I really don’t want this to happen, but isn’t that happening with the addition of the Aim120 and aim9 combo at 13.7 vs slow and bouncy RWR radars and a nerfed R-77 missile that cant even track jumbo the elephant descending to the ground.

Wholeheartedly agreed. While we’re at it, give the Yak-141 R-73s and R-77s and move it to 13.0 - it’s the only Soviet top tier jet that’s actually competent at dogfighting yet it’s completely neutered. Just 4 pylons is very subpar at its tier so it wouldn’t break the game or anything, not any more than the AV-8B Plus with 4 AMRAAMs + 2 9Ms, an RWR actually fit for BVR and three times the amount of countermeasures at 13.0 does, anyway.
