I think its fine where it is really, its just that its gets uptiered all the time to games with f14 that deny early game climbing. otherwise its pretty strong.
anyone else noticed that experting the mig23ml crew costs alot more than any other vehicle? its 1,770,000 SL meanwhile everything else is 1-1,2mil SL at most.
I think that is a premium thing… or something. Its not the only one that is super expensive, like I think the Chally 2 OES is that kind of amount
Mate I agree the MiG-23s are overtiered after the medium FM nerf and huge radar nerf but even so R-73s would be 12.0, and weren’t carried on the ML.
Yeah, because IR missiles are not the only deciding factor for BR.

I mean the FM is still cracked, no plane can really compete with its FM until like 12.3. The radar nerf is pretty bad but its still usable since the R-24R is CW. Also the R-24T is unaffected and still pretty good.

Honestly Idk they nerfed the 24r into the ground and kept on going, it’s unusable for me. But r73s are a little to much give it like the 27r maybe just maybe the 27er. This may sound stupid but it’s a lot better than giving it 73s
Why not give it AIM-174 and Phyton 5? This will surelly balance things in 11.7

It never used the R-27. The only MiG-23 that ever did was the MiG-23-98 (and even then I doubt it had the ER).
Even though it received a FM nerf and a second radar nerf, the missile itself was never once nerfed like you said. The plane currently sits at a BR lower than what other planes who shared a BR with it did, as it went from 11.3-11.7 despite many other comparable jets going up to 12.0.
I say Gaijin just fixes the radar to use MTI whenever the pilot wants and calls it a day, it should be plenty playable after that even at 12.0 with that change.

It is much better I agree, but historically it didn’t carry it. The MiG-23ML also likely never carried the R-24, but since exported variants did this received them.

And similar to existing previous premium planes makes them easier for premium players to adapt too. Not a bad idea really (but then again, there’s that possibility of putting ARH in a premium players hands…)

also i think someone from gaijin said in a post that premiums wont be wielded with the best armaments in the game, which i think is more than wise.
