Mig-23M or Mig-21Bis

for IRCCM i just spam all my flares and for radar there is 0 hope unfortunate i tired different aircraft such as the SU-17M4 It have over 250 countermeasure i put around 120 chaff and spam it…and it failed.

For radar missiles, i strongly suggest watching a guide on them.

Hell even take notes if it helps, they arent normal missiles at all, you have to defeat the radar of the plane launching them…

Chaff for example only works if you notch it, which essentially means fly perpendicular to the plane that launched the missile.

However, some radars are what is called, pulse doppler and they are harder to defeat… they filter out chaff and ground clutter thus require you to sometimes defeat a missile kinetically (through dodging it which isnt easy)

  • IRCCM

For irccm missiles they are difficult especially when you are new to the bracket.
Thwy essentially filter out flares when you pop them, however what you just do, is learn the platforms that carry them, e.g su25t with R73, or the mirage f1c with magic 2
These missiles use a similar filter, in which, you must and i mean ,must.
Cut the afterburners, pop a flare or two, and also change direction.

And watch it, and flare when needed .

Edit also some of this is stuff you learn through just playing

@MotorolaCRO is there anything here you would add? I dont want this poor lad to have to seek high n low for answers that arent rude.

That’s more than fine for a starting point. He also has YT videos to learn more.

Thought so, but always better to have more outlooks.

He needs to learn energy management as well.

Ok so the radar missle part it worked for the older one like from the Mig-21 however for the F-4s it still very hard and I got teamkilled because i bombed base, are you now allowed to steal someone else base? I arrived their first.

Got some advice for you buddy.

If you want to get better at dealing with enemy planes and players, stop base bombing in what is a designated fighter.

You would do well to remember there are 4 bases taht only respawn every 5 minutes, so people really want them, and as you see, they will team kill for them, As well as this it used to be good practice when someone pinged a base on the map, that you left it for them to take.

The F4S is can carry up to 6 x AIM7F, which can cause issues, what you need to do is either multipath them (stay 60meters or lower in altitude) or actively cork screw through them, which is a bit harder to do.

You will struggle to deal with any missiles in the mig23 if you

  • A have a bomb load
  • B have too much fuel
  • C are going far too fast with the wings back and compress meaning your capabilities are hindered massively.

What do you meant by Cork screw through them?

Literally that

how about the rocket climbing strategy those who climb very high on the map and just send radar missle from like 10km away and chaff dosen’t work and multipathing…

What?

Look, did you watch the videos I said to ?

I’ve told you about how to defeat these missiles.

DEFYN also goes into great detail with it on his radar missile guide.

The higher you go the harder the missile is to defeat.

Yes i know the missle harder to defeat but how to defeat missle that send from the top it ignored my flares and chaff. It always the Aim-7f every other radar missle i manage to defeat no problem.

You cant just fly straight and hope to defeat the missile for example.

You have to notch i described above, and chaff.

However you can also multipath it which means staying below 60 meters in altitude.

Watch both this. which is an indepth explination on how to both use and defeat the missiles.
Watch it, and pay attention to it.

and this as its a bit older but still partly relevant.

I bought the mig23ml as a prem about a year and a half ago.
My first battle in it was with a bunch of F16s that still didnt have fox 3, or amraams.
Its a really good plane but you will need the keybind, or control, to sweep your wings.
YES, the mig 23 ml Prem is a super good plane but its drawback is its 4 roMK IR missiles.
Against an experienced pilot they can flare those off, like aim9ls too.
On that plane I would suggest going on test flights with it mate, test flight after test flight…but who cares, its just you …
Yeah, Ive got eleven thousand airkillls in WT, its the mig 23 ML, r24 radar missiles the best at that BR
You have to sit there and study it for a sec.
You just have to learn how to fly it.

Well said,…I only fly fighters, that being said, since Beta, thats what I do…
I pursue other planes…I dont understand the bomber mentality.
Normally now, I go for the dangerous fighter on the team, but hell when I see a “bomber chap” flying along, to me its a free airkill.
Well said and youre nice as I wish I was.

MiG-21Bis is an absolute menace in ASB.

I could be a dck but whats the point, he has to learn one way or another.

I mean ive given about all the ready information i have and know as well so theres also that

Isnt the 23 more of a menace or is the bis at a lower BR? however seeing as this dudes talking about as far as i can see ARB is why i recommended the 23m.

23 has disgustingly bad awareness and will fare VERY poorly against Mirages and F8s.

It’s pretty great for ARB, only issue imo is the flare count.

what do you even mean? its RWR is about the same as the Mirages, and i think the F8 too.
however In sim ive yet to use it so I cant comment.

Yup its not great but that teaches positioning better
and so on

Ok so that defintely help and i would want to know wether this is a good progress or not? and 618k of Sliverlion and where did it all go??? i only have 88k
